I've never had them. You'd be hard pressed to dig up an old post of mine suggesting we go after either of them. I've long been a proponent of building through the draft. I still believe Bender will be special. It's not yet time to sell our assets.

Because they play the same position and do the same thing but more. :dontknow:

If you're trying to make a contending team you don't trade one of the best defensive players in the league. At least I wouldn't.

I'm so excited for Bender, he will be an amazing top tier role player.

McD got McD'd... Teams know he wins deals at the last minute... So teams instead used him to get leverage for their deals with others.

Damn... Suns will have 5 players making 14 million dollars each next season with the next extensions coming through... Blazers territory with capspace.

I think the answer is simple - we're not.

Brandon Knight is going to be playing basketball for the Phoenix Suns throughout the entirety of his contract.

It's really not that bad. Most teams have a terrible contract right now because no one knew how to deal with the cap blowing up. Brandon is ours. I'd much rather have BKnight than Miles Plumlee/Ian Mahimi/etc. at their respective salaries.

I really think it's just time we make this guy feel comfortable in the Valley. Embrace being our sixth man Brandon - learn from LB.

Someone reported or tweeted (I thought someone reputable) that Brandon Knight wants a new home, but the asking price had been too high. So if him and his agent has asked for a trade, you'd still not take a 2nd for him? Even a high 2nd?

I'm sure we replied, If you want to be traded, please play well enough to make yourself worth a first rounder. Once upon a time, you were worth much more.

He was worth more to McD. I don't know if he ever held much value at all. Got traded for Brandon Jennings after 2 years. That's pretty quick to give up on a top 8 pick. Then Bucks don't want to re-sign him after his rookie contract. He's one of the worst players in the league.

Bruno and Bebe for Tucker? I would love that trade.

Bebe is really good and agile on defense.

I honestly wouldn't. We don't need cap space - we need talented players. Brandon Knight, as underwhelming as he's been, is likely a better player than anyone we'll find in the second round.

Sing Kumbaya with me BW. Learn to love. Dream of our boy BKnight and his many 3/11 performances for the next 4 years.

From 48-34, to 28-20, to Brandon Knight, to two 20 something win seasons. Can't wait for more.

Return to Phoenix Suns
