Jackson's not getting dealt. McD went to all the trouble of c*ck-blocking Ainge. He's not giving up his prize and potentially career defining draft pick.

Re: Trade & FA Ideas & Discussion
I'm convinced Irving doesn't cut it as an all-star in the Western Conference (or barely if he is lucky)
In the notoriously weak Eastern Conference he managed two all-star nods on losing teams in his second and third year. Hell our near all-star Knight was playing in the east and was considered as a possible all-star selection during that time.
Really the guard competition is very weak with Wade, Irving, Holiday, Wall, Joe Johnson, DeRozan, Lowry, Walker, Thomas, Teague, and Rondo earning spots during Irvings four all-star appearances.
Compare that to the West with Paul, Bryant, Westbrook, Parker, Harden, Curry, Lillard, and Thompson making regular appearances in over that time. Honestly, Irving might be as good as Lillard ... maybe ... his advanced stats are skewed because he has been playing with Lebron. His true shooting percentage went up a decent clip. Irving is no where near Paul, Westbrook, Harden, or Curry.
What would we be willing to give up for Lillard?
What would we be willing to give up for Thompson?
Is Irving better than either of those players?
One thing for sure ... we should not sell the farm to get Irvning. Bledsoe's offense would thrive being next to Lebron. He defense is way better than Irving. To me they are nearly the same player statistically. Bledsoe for Irving and a 1st round pick is the best I would offer. Otherwise just walk away from the table McD.

Warren is a no brainer to include in my opinion. He's got 1 year left on his deal and will get paid afterwards. Suns just invested a #4 pick in the same position. They aren't going to spend the $ on Warren when they have a much cheaper and potentially better Jackson locked up for years.

(If he "very badly" wants to go to Knicks, doesn't make much sense for us to trade for him.)
Can't post the clip, but Pablo Torre says LeBron is "hustling behind the scenes" to find out if Josh Jackson is available for trade. The answer was "no."

I wouldn't trade Booker for anyone but LeBron, Curry, Westbrook, or Durant.
Those guys are too old!
Don't want for the tail-end of their career. I want to have our own Curry or Durant or Lebron at 22. Not 30. I'm tired of that Shaq ****.
Yeah, I'm not even as high on Booker as a lot of people, but what would be the point in trading for LeBron at his age? I'd have guys like Towns, Davis, etc...some younger super stars who are far more impactful. Definitely Embiid if assured of health. But only guys just getting into prime or younger.

Did Pablo Torre say he heard the answer was 'no'?
Windhorst still thinks we'll pull the trigger.

Windhorst also has a firm grasp of LeBron's jock. He's ESPN's dedicated LeBron reporter and will say anything to make the king look good.

That teams say they won't trade players all the time.
I'm growing more and more concerned that we will start the season with Irving on our team. Which is fine...as long as Jackson is still a Sun.
With Bledsoe working out with LeBron and Booker adding Irving on Instagram....I realize those are minor things, but they are things that suddenly happened when the rumors began.
Josh Jackson can be dealt 8/5. The longer nothing happend the more concerned I'm going to get.
I really hope not. I see your concern though. I would hope, since the Suns have reportedly told Jackson he won't be traded, that they respect that and do not trade him. How bad would it look to tell a rookie straight up that we won't deal him and then two weeks later we trad him?
Who reported we told him that? Just Gambo?

Definitely, and seeing as how he has performed as LeGM, I pray to god that team is not Phoenix. He overpays damn near everyone and has shown to have an awful eye for talent (as many great players have).

Yeah, I think just Gambo. Perhaps then it isn't 100% true, but that's a funny thing to report (that we specifically told a player) and have it be not true. But who really knows.

Better put on a helmet before this board destroys you for putting Porzingis in a fantasy trade.

You really want to max out the Tristan Thompson's of the world while drafting the Shabazz Napier's?

I think he means more for us than the Cavs. They'd have to pay him too in a year, and for him to be the "blue chip" prospect out of the deal doesn't make sense. If we get Kyrie, we should keep guys like TJ who is one of our other players to help us win now. Many of our younger players won't contribute as much the two years Kyrie is here and it would make it tougher to win.

I think this second part is 100% made up BS. Why would LeBron care about Jackson at all? LeBron's teams need three point shooters around him and JJ will almost certainly be very bad at that next season. And I doubt LeBron cares at all about getting the Cavs a good young prospect for when he leaves.

I think Gambo just likes to hear himself talk half the time. I mean a lot of people here say things like "We are not trading Jackson" even before the Gambo stuff, "We are not trading ____________" like it is a fact and not just their opinion. It just seems like a different source, or even McD himself would have said that...wasn't sure if he had.
