Slim's right that Detroit would likely take on Green since he's from there and it could address one of their positional weaknesses. But for Poole at his current salary, there's just not many suitors that'd covet him at that cost. Maybe one of the teams with far too much cap this summer? Or maybe a team like Toronto for Trent/ and fillers? I'm enjoying their rapid disintegration! But not the Flakers ascension off of trade premises we discussed/ promoted here prior to Durant's arrival.

I like the idea but I think the Dubs hold onto him. Draymond sucker punching him probably shook the guy's confidence. Draymond will be removed via trade once this season is over. They like Poole and will give him another chance imo.

Poole has like a contract of 28 mil per while Shamet is only 10 on essentially an expiring contract.

Suns just don't have the assets to make it work unless you want to do something like a direct swap with DA and Poole which doesn't make any sense for us. The only trade that makes sense is to trade DA for a cheaper center and perhaps a point guard but I suspect whomever we can get in such a trade will be underwhelming.

The direct swap alone wouldn’t make sense, but DA/Shamet for Poole/Looney would fit that structure. Suns get a perimeter creator to replace CP3, Warriors get a mobile big to replace Draymond, each gets a depth piece to backfill what they’ve traded away. (I’d rather keep Ayton, but if that’s untenable there may not be a better deal out there.)

That's obviously never gonna happen. I will say this though, with that brewing disaster possibly ongoing in Boston, I wonder if we could've moved all or even some of that KD stuff to them for Tatum.......

Probably not, but that'd be pretty cool if we could've had Tatum play Robin to Booker's Batman for the next 15 yrs or so. Or vice versa. Having those 2 in the valley would be amazing.

My guess, the moves the Suns will make will involve
Ayton
Payne
maybe Paul
probably Shamet

For Ayton - I go back to the Pistons. Bogdo and Wiseman for Ayton. Not sure if that helps the Suns but another shooter like Bogdo would be nice.

Send Payne and Paul for Rozier if the Hornets want to save a bunch of money - like going to Geico

If/When we trade Ayton, I really hope we don't get another questionable motor big guy.

Just get a solid 5 who can defend and set good screens. Steven Adams is a good example.
We don't need to "feed" any center. That's not the game today.

We already have a better and much cheaper Jordan Poole. He's called T Ross.

Been saying that for months. Capela and Collins. John Collins might be the only guy who's hurt his value more than DA and Capela is what he is-a defensive big. Those 2 for Ayton and Payne.

This is the way.

I would probably do that deal at this point.

I don't want the offseason to start Thursday night - but I also don't see it going past Sunday. So it will be time for the trade chatter and it has to include DA, Payne, Sham and probably Paul

if we go the Collins/Capela route, we better have also figured out our moves after that, knowing those guys' limitations and how much longer they will be under contract. gotta make every move count.

the good thing (knock on wood) - is that money should not be an issue for Ishbia. I think he will be willing to spend

I know of two players that will be on the roster in 2023/2024 - the rest I am open to whatever

He's been ready to move on and quite frankly so am I. Pretty sure I'm the last holdout here but yeah.....get this guy the F off the team already.

I am not expecting a lot in return

I just don't know what the value is

But hey - maybe a team like the Hornets or Pistons or even the Pacers would engage the Suns on a deal

I like your Detroit trade BobbiL but don't think they'd be looking to move on from Bogi as Weaver's wanting to compete and see if they can get their young core into the playoffs for more experience and expedited progression. I absolutely think they'd be willing to do Wiseman since acquiring him didn't cost them much at all anyways. I do think we could pull an Ayton for Wiseman/Burks/Hayes/31st pick type of deal. And I like your proposal, But just (personally don't think they'd give up Bogi in the deal though.
- 31st pick I would absolutely take Coulilaby BECAUSE he paralells very similarly to a young Mikal Bridges in many ways!

For Charlotte, my thinking is that IF the Hornets don't land Wemby (it's going to end up being either Charlotte or San Antonio that lands Wemby BECAUSE:
Image.
But my thinking here is that if the Hornets miss out on Wemby, they'll pivot to Scoot as he's a franchise level guard in the mold of a young D Rose that they can put next to Melo to secure an EPIC backcourt for the foreseeable future. They aren't really at all needing cap space currently as they'll be sitting around 88 million in salaries this summer. But still, in fairness, They MIGHT want more if they're looking to revamp their whole roster and Paul along with Gordon would give them upwards of 60 million in expirings towards 24' free agency that is loaded with premium names they could pursue. And they'd still have enough cap flexibility left to bring back Miles Bridges post suspension IF they choose too. So a core of Scoot/ LaMelo/ Hayward/Bridges/ Williams or Richards is not at all bad along with 60 million in expirings for trade or 24' free agency becomes quite enticing. But ultimately, I think IF they miss out on Wemby, they'd covet Ayton more as a clear upgrade (based on progress/experience and two way skillset) in a trade AS LONG AS they wouldn't have to give up their top 5 pick in the deal. And could keep their cap flexibility with us taking back comparable salaries. So out of a Paul/Shamet or Ayton/Shamet deal, I think an Ayton deal is more likely honestly. And we'd be fairly lucky with Ayton's current disconnect to get an Ayton/Shamet for Rozier/Bouknight/ Williams (or Richards) AND the 27th (Denver pick) and 39th ( Utah pick)s in the upcoming draft.
27th pick- Bilal Coulilaby (Mikal Bridges 2.0).
39th pick- Brandon Podziemski https://www.tankathon.com/players/brandin-podziemski
OR
Day'ron Holmes https://www.tankathon.com/players/daron-holmes-ii
OR
Kobe Brown https://www.tankathon.com/players/kobe-brown
