I don't know if people knew this already, but it sounds like we did go after Bosh pretty hard.

Moments after receiving James' text, the Heat offered Bosh a maximum contract worth $118 million over five years, something that wasn't on the table at the start of free agency. The Heat had competition. After considering "strong" offers from multiple teams, including the Houston Rockets, Denver Nuggets, Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers, Bosh ultimately decided to return to the Heat later that night.

Also, I don't know if people want him, but maybe Taj Gibson will available (I didn't think he would be). I know the Bulls really like him, but they have a really crowded frontcourt now with him...I didn't realize Mirotic was 6'10 and is listed as a PF. Not sure if he can play SF or not (I know he shot 46% from the 3 last year). If so they will have a huge frontcourt.

I think Taj really wants to go somewhere where he can start. I remember that he was told a month or so ago that he would be starting in place of Boozer this season. But now with Pau and Mirotic being added, court time could be very limited. And that Bulls team should be the best in the east, especially if Snell and McDermott can translate their SL performance into regular season success.

Keep working Alex!! Sad he won't get more court time in the next two months. But lower body strengthening will help him.

If he continues to display the confidence he exhibited on the offensive end during his one SL game, which was characterized by his solid screens, confident boxing out (rather than the paranoid style he had last year), and strong passing, I could see him taking the majority of minutes at the center spot by the end of this season.

If he could just get that jumper to go down in games. That's the biggest problem right now. He'd be huge for us if he were confident with that shot.

His jumper actually looks smooth, reminds me of how the Gasol brothers shoot. I don't expect it to come along quickly as he is still adding muscle, but in a couple years it should be automatic.
Let's just hope he has no more injuries, I have a lot of high hopes for this kid.

I think only way Gibson gets traded is if he asks for a trade, otherwise the Bulls need the depth.

Guess we offered bosh a max.
Think we dodged a bullet on that one
Though he would of been a perfect fit.

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

No to Jamison, at this point Marcus is a better option at the stretch 4 than Antwans corpse.

Len could be sidelined for as much as two months once the fracture is examined today in Phoenix.
Len has bulked up 27 pounds since the Suns drafted him to 260 pounds and cut his body fat percentage in half. He now will have to focus on lower-body work and left-hand basketball moves

http://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/n ... /12595953/

Around two months...it could have been worse. He will be good to go for training camp.

I wouldn't mind adding a vet big that can play the 5 or the 4 in a pinch. We could use some experience up front.

Hmm, my only memory of Anthony Tolliver was him getting murdered by Amare back in 2010 or something.

I'd be really happy if he'll be ready for Preseason.

My favorite dunk. It also had impact on one of the craziest freaking games. Tied it up with and1.

Jamison averaged 3.8pt and 2.5reb on 31.5% from the field (19.5% from deep)...So yeah, he's as much an NBA quality stretch four as I am.

I think if they're DESPERATE for one, then there's guys like Tolliver, Mullens or

There are so many end of the bench guys that could help us:

Al-Farouq Aminu - love his length and defensive ability, especially rebounding

Alan Anderson - long range guy cut from same mold as PJ - overseas bred so tough skin now he's in the NBA

Trevor Booker - like his energy/motor and solid rebounding

Elton Brand - seriously if they want a good locker-room guy this is the dude. Tough, defensive, a leader.

Ed Davis - this guy should get at least $3m per but who knows, send a flyer out to his agent

Ryan Kelly - he looks like he's 14 but he can contribute right now from deep

Shawn Marion - I wouldn't mind a feel good 2yr deal on the cheap, he can still play 20-25 a night at the 3/4

Darius Miller - this guy is an UFA and crushing it in Summer League...if we could get him on the cheap he's a steal

Kevin Seraphin - he is a big load down there and he can score, could be a steal

Jason Smith - another classic stretch 4, he just doesn't take 3s. Good shot-blocker though and could be had

Charlie V - I think he's done. Never know though, see how he looks for the min.

And yeah, Tolliver would be first option for me too!

Wow, Tolliver shot 41.3% on threes last year on pretty high volume. He might be the guy to go after since we have struck out on big names. Good call guys.

Is Tolliver's really better than Marcus? Especially Marcus and Kieff like playing together?

No, but we don't have much for depth at the 4. Can't hurt. Not saying he starts.

Even as a back up, cause Marcus should be the backup PF the way the roster is aligned right now.

And I'm not sure Tolliver will be down to come here to be a 3rd stringer unless the market really is that low for him.
