I couldn't disagree more. I felt he was as engaged as he could be given his personality. Despite saying he wasn't happy (in so many words) that he was surprised by the trade, I didn't sense anger at all. He got through it fine and I didn't feel it was uncomfortable to watch either.
I was stunned they have a conference for him but its probably to make him feel welcomed there. I hope he does well.

Not defending Marcus or Kief because they are both boneheads. Last summer they signed a $13M contract (split as they decided) instead of taking a chance at RFA this year. I'm sure they were happy then because they thought the would be together for at least five years. But ... they screwed up a good thing for themselves. What's the real kick in the teeth is they probably lost a decent amount of money by not going the RFA route this year. Kief is seriously underpaid and would have a decent shot at $12M/year if he would have gone through the FA process.

That was odd to hear Marcus say he always thought he was going to Phoenix even when he was in Houston and never settled down in Houston because of it. I could also tell how disappointed he was he was traded when he said I was on vacation and heard about it and forget Phoenix. He is not happy about the trade.

According to Coro, Weems is likely to be the first guard off the bench, so looks like we're looking at this rotation right now:

Bledsoe/Price/McNeal
Knight/Weems/Goodwin
Tucker/Warren
Morris/Teletovic/Leuer
Chandler/Len

I'm assuming Booker is gonna be inactive/in the D-League for most of the year. Goodwin and Weems will probably split equal minutes at the backup 2 spot, and I think they'll both get more minutes than Price.

The thing I'm most excited about is Warren. Let's see what he can do with big minutes.

Still have to wonder how many games Morris will miss due to a NBA imposed suspension. Teletovic will get a few chances at starting over the course of the season.

What I found interesting was at the end of the interview, where he was answering the questions about being seperated from Kief. He said something along the lines of "I wish him luck.... where ever it is..... wether its Phx, or where ever". Shows there have atleast been some talks, either between the twins of maybe asking for a trade or they have been informed of possible trade to come of Kief. If he had simply said, "I wish Kief luck in Phx", there would be no question that Kief planned to work it out here and shut up and play. His comment leaves the window cracked that there is possibly something out there going on, like I said wether its from the twins side and Kief is gonna pout and ask out or from the Suns side.

I am sure both of them feel like they took less than market deals in order to stay together. Now, the trade. But in the NBA, you have to expect this type of thing to happen, especially when you act like boneheads.

I took that comment to mean the same as you did.

Obvioulsy possible, but I am not sure I am. Would have been very easy to wish his brother luck in Phx, he went out of his way to say where ever he is, and IF it is Phx. Thats not not just something to be overlooked.

The Twins get Reunited:

Suns trade: Markieff Morris, PJ Tucker
Detroit trades: Stanley Johnson, filler, pick

Detroit wants to move out of the lottery and into the playoffs. Markieff is an above average PF and would start for Detroit at PF. Andre Drummond and Markieff Morris would be powerful in the eastern conference, with Marcus spreading the floor hitting 3's. PJ Tucker gets all of the tough defensive wing assignments. Pistons need a great lock down defender.

Suns get a great young prospect in Stanley Johnson. At SF we could go Warren/Johnson, or during small ball Warren at PF, Johnson at SF. If needed, we could flip Stanley Johnson to another team for assets. Suns would be thin at PF, but I am counting on Alex Len to get at least 16 mpg at PF and 16 mpg at C.
Suns PF: Len, Teletovic, Leuer, Warren (small ball)

Edit post: remove reference to Greg Monroe who signed with Milwaukee.

Gotta wonder what their market value would have been after their behavior this season and the felony charges. I feel like they would have gotten shorter deals, with Mook making between 3 and 5, and Kieff being offered 11-13. Just a guess.

Greg Monroe signed with the Bucks at the start of free agency. He's no longer with the Pistons.

If they were RFAs this season, they would get squat on the market. Which team is looking to pay two boneheads who are facing criminal charges & possible suspension and have been locker room problems?

Nope. Why would give up Keiff AND Tucker. Kieff would be enough.
