Too many smokescreen opinions on Morris.

Its true, that they could be saying those things to lower his value. But also...McD holding on to him too long into the season has given teams more ammo to downplay his value.

Should of traded him first week.... Because 15 or so bad game performances has lowered his value to some teams. But spilt milk is spilt....

He also said GM's actually don't like his contract because of the length, and they fear if they trade for Keef and he continues to play poorly or continues to have off the court problems, they'd be stuck with him. Because of all this, some GM's said they don't even think Keef's worth Ryan Anderson straight up.

I can buy the length being a negative if it was a poor play issue, but the off the court stuff continuing and being stuck with the contract is bogus logic. You could void the contract if a player commits multiple felonies. There are character clauses for a reason.

With the off the court issues, I think he meant if the court case continues to get dragged out.

I guess that's fair. Not to get into a semantic argument but 41% from the field is not phenomenal for any NBA lvl player in my opinion. Also, I believe that the reason the Pistons are decent rests entirely on Drummond's very broad shoulders.

Oh I agree with you. But he continues to get so many shots a game, and I think part of the reason is they don't have anyone else to shoot the ball. Plus when you have a dominate center like Drummond who might be able to pull down 5-6 offensive boards a game that makes some of those shots a little easier to swallow, especially if Drummond has position on the inside.

Out of curiosity, does anybody know if Keef and the front office met in person since the offseason, or is there still no communication?

Obviously it won't take that long, but if the case carries on into next season, then it's a problem if his new team wants to trade him.

Never paid a whole lot of attention to Brewer. Looking over his stats I wonder how he got that 3/24.

Yikes. I was about to say "He played really well last year," but it doesn't look like it. That was a pretty dumb signing.

I'd rather just get a pick for Kieff at this point and if we really like Jones that much try to get him in RFA. What I really wanted was prying Oubre from the struggling Wizards, but he's starting to get more minutes and showing what he can do so that probably isn't possible anymore.

I also have soured a bit on Ryan Anderson and his lack of defense. The player I prefer the most right now is Motiejunas. But the Rockets seem to be set on him if Terrence Jones is the guy we're negotiating for.

So I guess the Suns are putting this out there to see if anyone beats this offer. Also of note, Knight can't be traded until the 15th. I know this horse has had it so I shall leave the horse in peace after I make these comments. McD wants a superstar as does everyone else in the leauge. Between now and I he 15'th teams will have a better feel about their chances at the playoffs. I am not saying I would but for the sake of discussion do you think McD makes this offer.

Len
Knight
Kieff
Goodwin
Tucker or Weems with picks for

Cousins
Gay

I myself have an affinity for Len but I don't see how the deal gets done without him. When GMs are pressed they make decisions based on their job security and I wonder at what point McD gets antsy to obtain someone he can market as a superstar. Since Sarver wants to win now McD may overpay in the eyes of some. We don't have to look too far back into the past to see how the Knicks got Meloed, although Denver has not been setting the leauge on fire either.

We'd be much better off being able to keep Knight and instead give the Kings Warren/Mirza in this scenario.
Bled/Knight/Gay/Cousins/Chandler with Booker/Leuer coming off the bench. Or maybe since our bench would be super depleted have Booker start and Knight come off the bench to provide that spark.
I think if any of our potential packages that had us getting Cousins/Gay back without giving up Bled/Booker McD would be hard pressed to say no. Ideally however, if we are trying to build a super team or at least a contending team (with Cousins/Gay) we also don't include Knight/Chandler in the trade as they would be valuable core pieces too.

Suns will have to give up one of Booker OR Warren.

Booker OR Warren

c'mon McD......lets get the ball rolling. use your magical powers of GM wizardry to right the ship. please? just one more time......we need a little something to hold us over. like......Anthony Tolliver for Tony Mitchell. that would be an interesting trade to make, as Anthony Tolliver can be traded by us, and I see no problem trading for a player I know nothing about.

See? You can't surprise me, McD. HOW YOU LIKE ME NOW

I'm getting up there, I didn't realize Tyson has been in the leauge 14 years. I remember when the Bulls drafted him and Curry. Anyway another article I won't bother to post not Yibada this time suggests this if the Rockets are willing to accept. Remember this is not me and I am not a proponent. Gotta love those goofy (........)

Knight/Morris/Chandler for Rose/Portis/Noah

They dump Rose and Noah and upgrade their PG and backup C spots. Morris continues to come off the bench behind Gibson/Mirotic.
