I'd trade green too and just start Goodwin the rest of the year. Might as well see what you got in Archie. It would also open up some minutes at the 3 for warren.

Hearing Suns want a first-rounder for Goran Dragic and, rest assured, they'll get it. Rockets got to be tempted.

Yeah, that's pretty much it.

Then why trade him? I think Gery is full of sh*t.

Well hopefully they won't. I'm certainly not advocating a trade.

He's likely not a starter, but he'd be a solid pairing off the bench next to Wright and Mook.

That's a good deal for both sides.

I doubt LA wants to clog cap space. They signed everyone to 2 year deals to expire when Kobe does. And if they want Dragic, they've gotta know trading for IT isn't going to make signing Dragic likely. If I were them I'd never trade Hill. I'd keep him and if I could get a premier big in 2016, I'd try and re-sign him.

As for the Suns, yes, I'd do that in a heartbeat obviously.

bwg, you and lon babby are on opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of how you plan to build this team.

Dan Bickley on the "Bickley and Mirada radio show" said the the Suns are looking to trade Goran Dragic for a first round pick. He sites rumors, and I'm not sure that he is any more informed than this board is. However there seems to be a lot of "noise" building that Goran maybe on the move. Now, if he agrees to sign with us and not test the free agent market then I believe the Suns will pay him well and lock him up. If not, we may seek to trade and get what we can.

Now of course a team trading for Goran takes the chance that he walks away in the off season but I could see a desperate team taking the chance.

Okay, so what big-name player is available?

What about...

Chi in: Dragic, Green
Chi out: Mirotic, McDermott

Suns in: Mirotic, McDermott
Suns out: Dragic, Green

More of a youth movement for suns
Chi serious contenders?

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

If you listen to the interview, you'll note he says we're unlikely to get that player this week.

Like I been saying on both boards, roll the assets forward. Continue to build. Stop being so sentimental; besides, TJ IS COMING.

I would do that trade in a heartbeat. Hell I would do it without mcbuckets and some other scrub to make salary work. I LOVE mirotic.

So it sounds like we're doing our due diligence with Goran as with everyone on our roster that isn't considered untouchable I assume. I don't want Goran to be traded but I understand it's a business so I just hope we get a lot back in return (more than what we got for Gortat).

I think the Suns are really hunting for a small forward or a back up 4.

As for Goran, it makes no sense to trade him. It worked well last season with Bledsoe-Dragic and one of them on the floor at all times with Green. It meant that both Bled and Goran had enough of the ball because Green played off of it. Now Goran barely touches it. The rare times he does get to run the show the offense looks much better. It is pretty hard to make an All NBA player disappear in your offense, but the Suns have managed that this season. Good job. *slow clap*

I wouldn't blame Goran for being unhappy. I remember before the season he said something like free agency will come and he will end up just resigning with the Suns right away. Don't think it is like that anymore.

Because McD tried to play Toronto and ended up playing himself and in the end Ennis as well..

I didn't know the game ended halfway through the 1st quarter  We wouldn't have drafted him if we didn't think we'd be well-served by keeping him if needed. He's going to have a long career in this league. Book it.

Babby put it perfectly in the interview today. Chuck is entertaining. Analytics are, of course, important. Chuck, of course, oversimplified in a short TV segment rant. If you were able to tease out a more nuanced version of Chuck's thought, it is probably more against overemphasis on advanced analytics.

"It's a question of the degree of emphasis you put on it." - Babby
