Suns trade: Markieff Morris, PJ Tucker
Detroit trades: Stanley Johnson, filler, pick

Detroit wants to move out of the lottery and into the playoffs. Markieff is an above average PF to bring off the bench behind Greg Monroe. A trio of Andre Drummond, Greg Monroe and Markieff would be powerful in the eastern conference. The twins would fuel the Pistons bench, with Marcus spreading the floor hitting 3's. PJ Tucker gets all of the tough defensive wing assignments. Pistons need a great lock down defender.

Suns get a great young prospect in Stanley Johnson. At SF we could go Warren/Johnson, or during small ball Warren at PF, Johnson at SF. If needed, we could flip Stanley Johnson to another team for assets. Suns would be thin at PF, but I am counting on Alex Len to get at least 16 mpg at PF and 16 mpg at C.
Suns PF: Len, Teletovic, Leuer, Warren (small ball)

Nope. Why would give up Keiff AND Tucker. Kieff would be enough.

oops! I forgot Monroe signed with Milwaukee. Maybe that makes Markieff more attractive to Detroit, he would be their starter.

In reality I would like an adult Markieff coming off the bench in Phoenix for 32 minutes per game. It's all up to Markieff at this point.

I included Tucker in order to break up a potential log jam at SF. But I would like to keep him if possible.

I'll edit my post to remove reference to Monroe.

I love me some Horford. Always wanted him in a Suns jersey since he came out of Florida

Well that made me dislike him even more.

That guy is lucky he's a twin and Kieff gave him more than he's worth.

In saying that, he had skills as a pure 3/small 4 so he'll probably be fine in Detroit.

He didn't get a chance??? Pfft...Don't let the door hit you...

Ummmm... I think they are taking this trade like a betrayal, and I wouldn't be surprised if Markieff wants out saying something like "I don't trust our FO anymore"...ala Goran Dragic.

Its just a good feeling to kick that turd marcus to the curb. He wants to talk smack about the one franchise that took a chance on him. I see he didnt talk about beating up people and fighting with his coaches.

So just to clear things up Marcus, that is now 2 separate teams that basically gave you away for nothing. Maybe just maybe its not them, its you. Marcus has mental issues that need to be addressed and I hope Detriot can do something with him but its not likely.

Now on to Markeiff. I am so glad Tyson is here. He is going to put Markeiff in his place REAL quick. Two things needed to happen if there were to be an even slightest chance Markeiff stays with the suns (even though I still believe he will be gone before the All-star break, if not sooner). That is Markieff needed to be separated from his brother and secondly he needed someone (Tyson) in the locker room to tell him to shut the hell up and do his job.

This has a short clip and some quotes. Here's another article as well: http://www.mlive.com/pistons/index.ssf/2015/07/small_forward_marcus_morris_ma.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

This except is gold....what the heck is thinking Jeff Bower?

Although he won't be 26 until September, the Pistons view Morris as somebody who can help mentor not only Johnson but their other young players as well.

"I think he is a player that will welcome that role," said general manager Jeff Bower. "He's the type of player that his actions will probably speak much louder than his words. But he has seen many things in the young part of his career and that can only help him as well as our other young players.

I'm glad Mook isnt our problem anymore.
I think I can handle Kieff's attitude. But Mook is just an insane person.

Marcus Morris comes to the Detroit Pistons with a chip on his shoulder.

Blindsided by his trade from Phoenix, the 25-year-old small forward said he will use it as motivation to help the Pistons get back in the playoff hunt.

"I wouldn't say stunning, but in Phoenix, I would say I didn't have a great opportunity,'' Morris said at an introductory news conference today at the Palace of Auburn Hills. "I kind of wanted to play with my brother (twin Markieff Morris) so much that I kind of took away from myself. I didn't think I had an opportunity to get better. I don't think I had the chance to grow as a player over there. I think the opportunity is here for me.

"This gives me a chance to branch out. In my opinion, God works in mysterious ways, and He has plans for certain people. Everybody knew how bad I wanted to play with my brother. Phoenix knew. For them to trade me without consent or telling me was like a slap in the face, because of the contract I took from those guys and the money I took from them. I'm happy to be here. I'm a Piston. I'm a Bad Boy. I'm ready to get started.''

Bledsoe/Price/McNeal

Morris/Teletovic/Leuer
Chandler/Len

I'm assuming Booker is gonna be inactive/in the D-League for most of the year. Goodwin and Weems will probably split equal minutes at the backup 2 spot, and I think they'll both get more minutes than Price.

The thing I'm most excited about is Warren. Let's see what he can do with big minutes.

<exhaling> I guess I can wait on Booker....he is only 18.

+1 on Warren

That's not even a flagrant 1. Also, that whole play was Tucker's fault for throwing the ball to no one.

He said it was because they took less money to stay together. You guys can keep hating but if Warren isn't ready, we took a step back at the SF position.

With how much Marcus is bad mouthing the organization, does anybody honestly think the Suns can keep Markieff on the team now. The Morris brothers are as close as brothers can be and I guarantee you Markieff is very angry they traded his brother. And like I said earlier today, McDonough said himself he has not even spoken to Markieff since his brother was traded. In addition, there was not one word from Chandler or anyone else that Chandler can mentor Markieff. They all mentioned Len improving with Chandler being in Phoenix and also how much he should be able to help Bledsoe and Knight on the pick and roll. This all adds up to Markieff being traded. With how much drama Markieff could cause the organization, there is seriously no reason for Markieff to stay on the Suns regardless of their power forward depth or anything else. He needs to get traded.

I can't say that Dragic didn't deserve that after he trashed the FO. I'm optimistic that we will see a different Kieff this season 8-)

Hey ginobiliflops, are you in some way related to the Morris twins? Just curious.
