Its hard because they dont want to give up Murray and rightfully so! I see a lot of Nugget fans on the trade board that say they would totally trade for Bledsoe, but wont give up Murray, who would end up being regulated to a bench role stuck behind Bledsoe. No way do they switch him to SG, as they just re-inked harris to that new huge deal.

But seriously, if we were to move Booker to the point, could you imagine having another super athletic guard next to him like Murray or even Lavine. That would be crazy. No defense, but damn that would be fun to watch!

No defense is the exact problem, not sure where that backcourt would be fun to watch. :banghead:

And Murray is not super athletic, he's more of a smooth athlete, like Booker. This team needs an actual headcoach, a point guard that can run a good offensive set, a couple of bigs that can rebound and block shots on a regular basis. It needs so much right now.

I watched every Suns game this year thus far.

Bledsoe needs to be moved. The personnel doesn't fit his abilities. No one can really shoot outside of Booker and most of these guys just stand there on offense anyway. He needs to leave.

Just from what I seen with James, I think he might be an option at starting PG even if it's for 15-18 MPG.

You guys need a legit vet starting PF badly.

Really? You think Detroit would do that? An overpaid washed up vet and a decent combo guard for two young quality prospects?

You haven't learned the philosophy here? Other teams want to trade good players or prospects for our not so good players that are overpaid.

Oh, and stars on teams that are just outside of the playoffs are probably disgruntled, so they're probably hoping to become Phoenix Suns.

Most team boards have one-sided trades that will never happen more times than not so it's nothing to really get mad about. I do think Phx needs to try to at least better fits. That's the biggest problem I saw watching them compared to other teams this season.

Losses this disheartening wear on one's resolve. They make everyone's position - coaches, players, management - less secure.

I would like to see a new coach brought in. Not only to get a new voice and a new game plan in place, but also so we can hit the reset button with our players. Earl has made strong connections with Bled, Chandler and Chriss. You keep losing like this, and you'll have carte blanche to start turning over the roster.

The real question in my mind is who we would want. Who could actually aid in the development of this team? A pass-first PG with cache in a young locker room? Or just a guy looking for an opportunity to have a late career resurgence? Like a tough, hustling big with a chip on his shoulder? A wing who knows how to stay in the game and make plays? A young players who needs a change of scenery and a chance to step into a bigger role?

Some names come to mind.

Marcus Smart
Terry Rozier
Robin Lopez
Bobby Portis
Andre Drummond (I highly doubt he's available ATM, however)
Jerryd Bayless
Jahlil Okafor
TJ McConnell
Kelly Oubre (not happening)
Harrison Barnes (yuk)
Nerlens Noel (gag)
Kenneth Faried (starting to think Faried + minor asset for Bledsoe is an acceptable deal, perhaps even without the minor asset...)
Juan Hernangomez (but speaking of...)
Emmanuel Mudiay
Trey Lyles (I do think this would have been our pick if Booker were off the board... and then Murray instead of Dragan? we could have been the Nuggets minus Jokic and Harris!)
Montrezl Harrell
Jordan Clarkson
Mario Chalmers
Tyus Jones
Demarcus Cousins (boo)
Rajon Rondo (I'm quite open to this actually)
Shabazz Napier (ha,)
Pat Connaughton (ha)
Georgios Papagiannis (puke)
Danny Green
Alec Burks
Ekpe Udoh
Joe Johnson
Raul Neto

I also want to mention THREE silver linings, here. First, obviously, is that draft pick of ours. This should be a great class at the top, and if we're going to be bad for one more year, this is a convenient year to do it. Second... Brandon Knight. We don't really know the severity of the knee injury, but assuming it is something from which he could fully recover, well, we can't blame THIS epic suckage on him! Based on what we're seeing currently, perhaps the degree of **** he took the last couple seasons was a bit excessive... so maybe with another shot he still has time to prove himself a quality NBA player?

Third, and this one's a bit weird. I've described this effect before in regard to the Dragic, Markieff and Knight situations. And McD is 2/3 here, with Knight still unhappily on his roster. But when you disappoint, you create a market for your players by the existence of an implicit offer - that despite the lack of any suggestion by you as GM of this fact, you would be willing to trade of your players at a discount. This creates the effect among managers of other teams that there exists a possibility of a reasonable deal without the GM ever having to say so. Overall, while you take a hit to the perceived value of your players, you also create liquidity for them where that might not have existed much otherwise.

It won't take many games like this before I'd be willing to take quarters on the dollar for some of these guys. Get me Kenneth Faried already.

I don't like any of those names. Realistically, this team obviously needs to push the reset button, but that is easy enough by firing Watson. I would place a temporary coach and spend the season researching somebody who you are willing to bet your career on. Maybe that is Messini. Maybe that is someone else. I don't think getting a young pass first PG is the answer. In fact, I like Ulis more than many of those young pass first PG's. Smart, for instance, is a 1 way player who straight chucks in inopportune situations. We don't need to re-create PJ Tucker at every position, and if we're going for a guy like that I would rather do it at a big guy position where the spacing impact doesn't impact the entire offense as much.

I don't think, given this team isn't contending anyways, there is some rush to simply get the best coach possible to save this season. In my opinion we shouldn't be trying to save this season. It is imperative we get a top 5 pick and end up with one of Bagley, Porter, Ayton, Bamba, Doncic. Any of those guys are gamechangers for this team. Yes, we can't be out there losing by 40+. We want the youngsters to play well, but that should be about it imo.

I have never been a huge fan of Watson. In my opinion we went from a coach who had no idea how to handle a locker room in Hornacek and overcorrected to a guy who is all feelings and brings little in terms of development / coaching in the traditional sense. Moving on from him was bound to happen, but I was hoping it would be able to wait until the end of the season than to be forced on us after a few games, but that is what we are looking at.

This team is not as bad talent-wise as it has shown under Watson so far. Bledsoe has not fallen off a cliff--he is still a top 35 player in this league. Booker is still a rising star. Jackson still has the potential to be a rising star. Warren is still good. The problem is this mix of a lineup is a disaster and I think the frustration about roles is bleeding into their play. I would be sitting Tyson and starting Bender or Len at the 5. Put Chriss back at the 4 (I get it's pro sports and maybe he is being immature, but he's not even old enough to drink yet, came in as a project, was not expected to do much, then started, then excelled, then was told by his coach how he's some future All-Star, and then the team drafted a SG/SF and somehow he is benched and was not told until gameday--that is pretty ****). Then pick one of Jackson or Warren to start at the 3. Have the other lead the bench unit. If you find a good trade for Bledsoe, trade him and maybe you have the flexibility to experiment with Booker in a Harden role, which is what I have been hoping for regardless. Wanting Booker to be Kobe in todays NBA makes 0 sense to me. A Harden-type is much more valuable, and is a better fit for his skillset imo.

I feel very good about the following players in terms of talent: Booker, Jackson, Bledsoe, Warren, Ulis

Bender and Chriss have always been projects. I think one pans out but it will be years before we find out which, and I am confused by the rush to judge these 2.

If I am armchair GM, I am still trying to trade Chandler, trading Bledsoe (if the price is right. I am not giving him away. Maybe Brooklyn would be interested with Lin out. Bledsoe + Miami picks for DLo?)

I am then looking to get one of those top 5 to fill into the 4 or 5 spot and using the Miami pick on a mid-first PG. Hire a legitimate coach and go all out trying to show something next season so that you can get FAs before Booker's extension.

Giannis is looking worth investing some future assets and cap space to get him more help.

Considering this in the context of Zach Lowe’s report that the Bucks have a “jones” for Bledsoe.

Could see Milwaukee being a potential destination for Chandler and Dudley as well.

Bledsoe and Possibly chandler need to go even if thy take a loss on the trade, i think their demeanor is setting the tone for the team morale and not in a positive way, Watson should already be fired .. there's no excuse to play this poorly with a team very similar to the one that at least competed hard at the end of last year, unless it's the coaching staff

I will not be surprised to see the Suns pull the trigger on a blockbuster. If Milwaukee's involved, though, I think it would have to involve one or two other teams, I think. I have a hard time seeing any of your players making much sense on this roster. Middleton would have more value to a contender; Parker would have more value to a team that has not already gambled on the restricted free agency of a Bucks castaway (and really, should have the most value to the Bucks, considering they're the ones who know the most about his injury situation!). There just aren't any obvious deals to be made here from where we sit.....

I don't think Middleton's going anywhere. And probably not Parker. Brodgon would make sense and if they took Chandler maybe we take Monroe or something (though I'm not a big fan of his).

Given the Knicks drastic need at PG, Kristaps wanting to see changes, Hornacek having worked with Bledsoe, and their glut of centers, we could maybe do something like a Bledsoe for Willy Hernangomez and more (even though they don't have much more). That's quite lopsided though but Willy is their third string center. Of course that would give us 4 centers as well.

They wouldn't throw in a first, but a second would likely still be fairly high.

It's pretty tough to find too many teams that need a PG that have the kind of assets the Suns would want. The Denver first and Mudiay maybe. They have Juancho as well.

At a baseline the Bucks own all our future firsts and have Monroe’s huge ending contract.

Other notes on Bucks players who could be involved in a deal:

Brogdon has looked awesome to open up the year so I don’t think we trade him on the cheap.

Middleton we value highly too.

Thon and Jabari we value but I suspect could be had in the right deal.

DJ Wilson and Vaughn are young recent mid-first round picks we could throw in as sweetener.

Delly is a hardworking pass first PG who isn’t old and won’t cause waves. Henson has started the season out hot though consistency has always been his biggest problem. Teletovic hasn’t been a good fit but teams always could use extra shooters in this day and age.

I don't see any way Bledsoe would be included for any of those guys unless Brogdon and Thon or Brogdon and Jabari were included. His play in 2 games has sucked, but he's still a top 35 player in the league and Jabari is going to try to get paid a max this offseason too, so I don't see how we give up a top 35 player for the right to pay somebody else a max.

Delly, Henson, etc. make 0 sense for Phoenix. Their contracts would be negatives for a team that is rebuilding. I like Brogdon but even then he is 24 already. That matters a ton when rating him against other 2nd year players.

I'd vomit. Bled is too good for that. Even with Chandler's bad deal, it has a whopping 2 years remaining. Monroe's is every bit as bad, and we aren't getting that cap relief earlier because we are taking on Telly's contract as well (at $11 mil a year). So basically we are trading 1 bad contract for 1 bad expiring and 1 bad contract, leaving Bled for a late 1st. The guy averaged 21, 6, and 5 last year and is 27 years old.

I want to trade Bled, but we cannot give him away or just use him to get rid of contracts. We need some significant piece to our future or multiple high upside but risky pieces. Lowe proposed Mudiay, 1st, Hernangomez last week. Any deal with Milwaukee that doesn't have some combination of Brogdon, Maker, Parker and their 1st is a big fail.
