Sure, it's not the BEST we can do - but at least they're trying to make moves.

Full deal: Phx sends Hedo/J Rich/Earl Clark to Orlando for Vince/Gortat/Pietrus, 2011 first round pick and cash considerations, sources say

We at least got 1st round pick,, so that's good..
But I really saw somthing in EC

You kidding me? Another wing?

That's 1 wing (JRICH) for 2 wings (Vince, Pietrus).

How the heck you gonna manage play time with all these wings if you had trouble with Hedo and company all this time?

This still means J-Childress will be riding the pine and getting DNP.....either him or Pietrus.

Seems like it's a done deal -

WojYahooNBA 12:22pm via Web

Orlando will send PHX Carter, Gortat, Pietrus, a 1st round pick and $3 million for Richardson, Hedo and Earl Clark, source tells Y! Sports.

Trading our 2nd best player for this is crap. Like I said if this is not a lateral move for an Iggy trade I will lose it. I just bought a J-Rich Shirt too. :D

"It's safe to say that it's imminent," one source said. "It's very close. There's always a chance it could fall apart, but it's 90 percent done."

G Nash/Drag
G Vince/Dud
F Hill/Chill
F Frye/Hakim
C Gort/Lopez

11th Pietrus
12th Barron
13th Siler
14th Lawal

You still understand SUNS will have a log-jam at small forward, right?

Hill - Childress - Pietrus all want play time. Go manage.

Doesn't really matter. Unloading Hedo was like taking a long dump at a gas station after waiting 4 hours in a car.

Richardson is expiring and one of the only bright spots of this season. 2nd, this trade doesn't really solve are weakness at pf. Hedo is pretty much worthless to the suns but no point in including JRich unless we get better.

Well, Gortat would allow us to play Frye at starting PF(and Frye has been balling as a starter.)

Jrich just has so much more value to this team then playing a backup Gortat for 18 minutes. Frye is already on the team and trading our starting shooting guard for a backup is just never a smart move.

If the goal is to get a backup center they're a lot cheaper ways to do it. Besides If Jrich is shipped out package him with some picks, warrick , whatever it takes to get a PF back. Only way Jrich is moved is for a starting PF. Acquiring a backup isn't enough to offset the loss offensively.

I agree that JRich is a great player and all, but his greatness is not helping the team right now. We need a big and we need inside presence! watch our games and see how many players are just standing around behind the arc and waiting...And the worse, Frye is one of them!

Gortat is a very strong and dominant player. He wanted to get out of ORL so badly because he wanted to play more minutes. The dude is unlucky, as he is stuck behind the best C in the league! He is really dominant in the paint, athletic and very aggressive attacking the rim. He can tremendously help the suns, bringing inside presence, which could further facilitate Suns' stagnant offense and validate the presence of wing players and their hanging around the arc!

So, the bottom-line, it is not whether we are getting a great player to dump Hedo, but whether we are getting the right player to address our immediate needs and weaknesses! Along this line, loosing JRich is not as important as being able to get a dominant big who can bring inside presence on both ends of the floor and size!

Oh goody another small forward... This trade doesn't make us better in anyway. Infact it makes us a hell of a lot worse.

This is such great news!

Hedo is finally gone!

Yes! Suns have legit Center combo in Gortat/Lopez. Decent PF in Frye/Hakim. Still keep somewhat athletic at the shooting guard. Still have depth on bench.

What you guys will see in VC is a guy that will get to the rim at times or hit some jumpers.

At times, he's terribly inconsistent, can go for 30pts but will also go 1/9. He'll be MUCH, MUCH better with Steve Nash.

This was a deal to dump the Hedo.
I'm still happy because we dumped Hedo wthout sending Nash away.
Because of SAC rumor, people started think Hedo had some value....

It gives us long term flexibility to be a free agent player this year, and now we have 2 first rounders this year to rebuild with. Plus Gortat is a quality big. What's not to like? Jrich most likely was not going to be re-upped next year. Only issue IMO, is how Nash will react to this.

It's going to be hard to convince Nash to buy in. Telling a 36 year old point with no rings to wait for free agency and that we had to trade our 2nd best player after already losing Amare is no easy task.
