There was one other big I was considering other than Favors and Duncan too. I wonder if anyone else will take him anytime soon.

There's HEAPS of good PF/C out there still - at least 2 or 3 in the next lot should average at/over a double double...And that's not even counting Z-Bo :D

ZBo is good but I shy away at least early because he only really gets you pts and boards. I had guys like Chandler and Valuncias last year in addition to Pau Gasol and my bigs struggled big time....I had to scramble to try and find others to plug in. Jonas would suck, so I'd sit him, then he'd get 18 boards. He may take big strides though and Chandler should be much better this year than last.

Chandler is old as dirt, I just can't see him doing any more than 9pt 10reb 1.2blk...which is meh

Not a fan of ZBo either, but at around 80-90 he's a bit of a steal. His %s are HORRIBLE though..

A pick cannot be traded once on the clock, so Zero you cant trade it and Sunskerr immediately pick. However, Zero can agree to draft a guy for Sunskerr, then trade the pick after.

Tastic traded his pick to you after I had already selected Horford.

Yes, but he picked MIllsap FOR me.

I told him who to pick, and he picked for me as part of the deal while the pick was on the clock.

If he had traded his pick to me, and I personally selected Millsap myself, it's against the rules

That's pretty much all there is to it. You traded your picks.

There really isnt much to the rule.

Nothing wrong with trading picks, as long as the person who originally owned the pick, makes the pick for the new recipient.

If you told Zero who to pick for you and did the trade at the same time, theres no issue.

This is practically circumventing the rule anyway. Then you would have had to make the pick for Tastic.

Why would I?

It's not circumventing the rule. Im sure there used to be a clause in the OP that dealt with this exact same issue.

It's like what happened when we almost sent Amare to the Warriors in 09.

We asked GSW to pick Curry for us, and they did. (except that trade fell through.)

Here it's the same. TASTIC and I worked out a deal, and he chose Millsap for me, and immediately traded him to me after.

He did not trade me the pick while on the clock, because the pick had already been made BY him FOR me.

Subtle, but theres a difference

It's happened before, and I've pulled a trade similar to this off before as well. It's perfectly legal. Tell Zero who to pick for you, he picks, then lets keep the ball rolling.

To be honest I dont see why theres that rule there anyway, but I dont make em. If you agree to a trade, good for you.

To be honest, I think trading like that is entirely grey and the rule itself is a load of bull. If it prevents people from getting screwed then that's fine. But in most scenarios it's going to be an obstacle.

But the pick will be in, regardless.

So now can we trade? or does he need to pick @ #50 for me?

What's the point of the rule in the first place?

Tastic did make his own pick after the trade went through. You should be in control of your own pick right now.

Just to restate the trade so the mods can update the lists.

Yep. The only pick you have to worry about is the pick that is on the clock at the time of the trade.
