Would you trade Bled for a pick that lands you Hezonja ? The MoBros for a pick that nets you Wood or Harrell or Portis ?
I think this FO will consider all options. Bledsoe is not untouchable as many here would like to believe. And the MoBros are bad baggage, like it or not. They were tabled last month. Tucker could glean a some value....
I'd pull the pin on this grenade, and chuck it far away.
Did anyone watch Purdue ? They lost, but jeez... had a couple of 7ftrs that looked legit... Hammons and Haas

Yes, and I don't know who Hezonja is; yes, and definitely move Tucker. After we traded your boy Goran, the FO believes they want to move forward with a young nucleus and Bledsoe, Tucker, and the Mo Bros jsut aren't it.

I put everything on the table for Russell.
I think he's better than even chance of being better than anyone we have.

That Booker guy Ford projected to go to us at 13 was 0-5 from 3 today.

3-19 from the field though. Rondae had some great passes in that game too and finished with 11, 10 and 5.

I think Russell could go Number 2 or even maybe 1st. He's that good.

I lol at everyone who thinks trading Bledsoe is an answer for this team.

Depends what you aim for.
Any player with top 10 potential in a trade will likely involve either Bledsoe or Len.

Gabe York was HUGE for the Cats yesterday.
Also, I hope more people start coming around on Rondae. I don't just talk him up because I'm a homer, he's a damn good basketball player.
SHAZAM!
Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Yeah, if York didn't start hitting shots, we were in trouble since so many guys had off games offensively. Hopefully the others come around in the next game.
Yeah, Rondae will always do a little bit of everything. I was looking at Justise Winslow's box score today after watching him play...he is somewhat a similar type of player...great defender, today had 13, 12, 5 assist, 4 steals and 3 blocks. There are a bunch of good small forwards in this draft.

And most of those players will be worse than both. Bledsoe and Len are the types of guys you get when you hit on those picks in a damn good way.

I think you'd be surprised if you looked back at the history of draft day trades. I'm noting saying it will happen or will be available, but lotto picks getting swapped for guys who are not stars or potential stars happens surprisingly often.

We should start looking for Sabonis' son either... his dad was a late boomer but he's already putting some impressive stats in Gonzaga.
I dont think he'll leave early, but we better be ready to scout him right now...
Arvydas was probably the best bigman of all-time in his prime (unfortunately, not in the NBA)

Knowing McD, he is most likely on the radar.

Re: Offical Draft Thread: What should we do with the 13/14th pick and 43/44th pick?
Here's scenario for you all to ponder:
Detroit is drafting 7th and is on the clock. Porzingis, Kaminsky, Looney and Turner are still on the board.
- Do you trade Warren (leaving us Bullock/PJ/Marcus to play SF) and our 14th overall pick to move up to draft one of those three, knowing that no way do one of those make it down to 14?
-Or do you stay put and draft Portis, Lyles, or Harrell?
Just curious--I think we stay put as I don't think that any of the 3 mentioned above have THAT much higher a ceiling than the other 4 mentioned. I don't think we draft anything other than a PF this year--the field is simply too strong to draft otherwise. I think I'd lose my mind if we drafted another SF, but I realize that the SF crop is just as impressive this year, with Hollis-Jefferson, Oubre, Hezonja, Winslow, and Johnson.
I'd also consider trading away some of our assets to get a 2nd pick this year, say in the 20s. A guy/project like Cliff Alexander (6'9"; 254 lbs; 7'3" Wingspan) would be interesting--a PF/C tweener, who at the beginning of the season, was projected to be a top 5 pick. Or maybe a big dude like Upshaw (7'; 264 lbs; 7'4" Wingspan--would be a back-up to Len, so we can move Wright to more of a PF-type, but with insurance at the 5 as well). Or possibly a few other 'tweeners' like a SF/PF Jarrell Martin (depending on who's measurements you trust, but anywhere from 6'7.5" to 6'10"; 224-242 lbs; 6'8" to 6'10" Wingspan) or Sam Dekker (6'9"; 230lbs; 6'10" Wingspan), or a PG/SG/SF tweener Caris Levert (6'7"; 200lbs; 7'1" Wingspan
).
Assuming we don't re-sign Green, Price, Barron or Thornton, and re-sign Wright (which to me is a MUST--pay him $8M per. Should be enough.) Then consider the following good potenital assets--Granger--$2.1M expiring; Knight--S&T option; draft rights to Bogdanovic; Reggie Bullock. Then come the "rather not, but would if needed"-types like the Morri, Tucker and Bledsoe. Then the "ok, but only if we're getting back Cousins"-types like Warren, Goodwin, and Len.
So, with the above parameters, and assuming we stay at 14 and pick Bobby Portis (I know that pick may sway opinions, but this is just a "what-if"), and Brooklyn comes a callin' and wants, for their 29 and swap their 39 for our 43, Bullock and Bogdanovich, or just for fun, the Morri and McD says yes. And on the board is:
Dekker
C. Wood
Levert (all probably gone, but just pretend)
or
Alexander
Martin
Upshaw
Or heck, pick anyone within reason that might be on the board at the end of the 1st. What do you do with picks 29 and 39?

Kaminsky or Turner or both will be there at 13 or 14. Maybe Looney too. But trading Warren AND the 14 to move up? No way. I haven't seen enough of Porzingis but IF we traded Warren and the pick, I'd rather take a guy like Justise Winslow or maybe Stanley Johnson. Maybe Porzingis, but like I said, I haven't seen him enough to know for sure, but the buzz is high.
