Ask Dwight and Gasol if playing for Kobe's Lakers is something they wanted to do. Both took pay cuts to leave.

Yes. 24/13/3.5apg/1.5spg/1.5bpg is the difference

The whole "Cousins is a headcase" notion is probably the most overblown thing in the entire NBA. I would be the same too if I had to play for the freakin Kings. I give DeMarcus credit for not actually being driven mentally insane by the inept Kings management.

Sure keep convincing yourself of that. They are friends sooooo what? They are not teenagers. It's all about money and winning for these guys. There is no loyalty.

If Cousins wants to play for the Lakers after what Dwight Howard did then he **** deserves to be miserable.

Gasol loved playing with Kobe. That is widely known. He left because he wanted a shot to win a title.

Absolute worst thing cousins can do is to go to the lakers. It will be just a matter of time before he comes to blows with kobe, the team is still rebuilding, the management isn't exactly hot stuff right now.

Scott is a **** idiot. Buss is a clueless moron. Fans act like entitled children. Perfect for a player considered a headcase

This so much. Read around and youll find he does lots of good things for the Sacramento community. I think hes a legitimately good person who doesnt control his temper very well, thats why he gets so much bad rap. His outbursts usually come on national tv.

I would take Galllinari any day if he is healthy. I think he is probably worth the 13th pick in the draft. He would dramatically improve the shooting of the team.

When was the last time Gallinari was healthy? I can't even remember. I'm inclined to say that he is pretty much done.

I could see trading 4-5 guys tomorrow.... well, 2-3 since I am including the MoBros...

IMO, Tucker is surly gone. And I'd trade out Markeif, then waive Marcus. These are players you do not want infecting the others with their unprofessionalism. If McDuh has a pair, he stands by his words about culture, team play, and self serving players. Might as well toss Bledsoe in there too.

we aren't going to be good anyway.

It would have made sense LAST season. Have you seen the 2016 Draft Class?

McD self admitted he is collecting assets to trade for a superstar when it arises, read his interviews.
The Suns have to outbid many teams.

Bledsoe, Len, pick 13... SHOULD be Cousins value...
but if Suns need a 3rd team, like scenario 1, Suns KEEP pick 13, but send out Morris twins and Warren.
Suns will have then... Knight, Cousins, pick 13, Tucker, Gallinari, Goodwin, Bullock and 20 million cap space to sign a couple more "good" players.

If you havent been reading, I'm on the sell the farm for Cousins wagon... so you just going to have to accept that some of us value Cousins a lot. Once Suns can get Knight, Cousins under contract... it WILL Appeal to other Stars and Suns can sign a 3rd one next year.... maybe Durant can be enticed to join Knight and Cousins.

Selling the farm for Cousins will yield investment returns by attracting OTHER stars.... Durant and other stars wont look at the Suns without a legit star on the team...

If Suns can land a marquee star like Cousins or Love...

It will pay dividends next off season by having cap room and ATTRACTING Free agent stars....
Without a star on the team... they will continuously be overlooked.

Suns have a bunch of "good" role players...
But no "GREAT" player...

In the NBA today, you need a GREAT player atleast to attract another GREAT player to join.

If you can turn 3-4 "good" role players and turn it to a GREAT player... you do it.

There is ZERO guarantee that trading the farm will get Durant/etc to even consider this team. Everyone seems to forget that players dislike Sarver.

Yup. Wow. Gut the entire team for Cousins, Galo, and Landry?! That team isn't making the playoffs and ages our team.

There is ZERO guarantee that NOT trading the farm will get Durant also...
So what is your point?

Suns will ALWAYS get overlooked until they turn one of their players to a star OR they obtain a star themselves... look at the elite teams, GREAT players attract other GREAT players.
Sticking with the current core and HOPE a star FA eventually "feel sorry" for the franchise and decide to help them get better is a PIPE dream..

Star players want to join ELITE teams...

Staying the way it is... 5-6 years will pass and Suns will still be looking for the "next" star... OR you can take your chances in grabbing a star NOW and let that STAR attract other STARS to join in.

Return to Phoenix Suns
