Nice to trade a likely top 5 or so pick or who knows where it could end up unprotected next year for the worst player in the league. Props to McD on that one.
And Isaiah Thomas likely 2 time All Star putting up 27 and 7.
They will not go anywhere. The only good thing with them is they can play well and still get the Brooklyn picks. Not a fan of IT's play. Just another Marbury, Iverson type who doesn't get as many assists. He may be a better scorer, but still not leading you anywhere. Doesn't make teammates better. We still just used cap space to get a first round pick that helped us get Chriss, who fits our timeline better. IT would have likely just made picks the next couple of years and last year worse.
I agree mostly. IT is a great player if you want to be a good team and he seems like an awesome dude as well. But unless he comes off the bench, I can't see his team winning a championship with his defense. And he can't come off the bench with the money he's going to get in a couple years.
It's going to be interesting to see what Boston does when his contract is up. Pay him huge max money, putting their championship hopes on him, or using him as a trade chip, or what.
If IT was still on the Suns, people would be bitching that he was making the Suns a treadmill team.
