Good game, still don't like James play style despite his #s. Very Brandon Knight ish player who also occasionally had good games.

Would like to the Suns get Monroe more shot attempts. Him establishing himself a scoring threat for the Suns will open up things a little more and make things easier for Booker/Warren imo.

Amazing how many posters complaining about Mike James. If he didn’t score on that second unit, it would not have scored much at all. The second unit played almost the entire 4th quarter. I️ swear some people just decide who is going the player they hate and then just b about him the whole time.

He's a terrible basketball player. There's reason to not like him. The rest of the team when he's playing doesn't even try to get open because they know he's looking for his own shot. He constantly waves off Booker during key possessions to throw some crazy shot up. He's bad. There's legitimate reasons to not like him.

he's a ball hog, I counted how long he held the ball every time he had it... out of 24 seconds, he dribbled for around 12-13 seconds each time almost. Didnt do anything... except try to get a look at the ring and an open lane in front of him..

he's crap... thats the problem.. but wants to prove something when he cant... doesnt have the talent.

Monroe is a better passer and play maker than Mike James... let that absorb for a second.

Monroe is actually known for that stuff, though.

For the record I'm fairly frustrated with Mike James's play too.

I don't see how anyone can complain after this game. This team is actually fun to watch this season unlike the last couple of years. Would absolutely love to beat Milwaukee on Wednesday night

This team is moving the ball much better in its regular offense. They are also defending better, at least in spurts. They even defended the tree point line. The offense at the end of the game where everyone cleared out and they just gave the ball to Booker, was not as effective. I know what they were trying to do, but it got away from what had been successful.

Monroe is a help. He can score inside, but he also passes. It encourages the guards to throw it inside because they know that Monroe will not stop the ball. It also encourage other plays to move and cut.

I like the development of this team. I do not know if Triano is the answer long term, but he is doing well for this stage of development.

Come on now! This is such an exaggeration. The Suns starters had 14 assists and the Suns bench had 14 assists. James led the bench with 5 assists. The ball is obviously not sticking in his hands-like people are saying because the assists are spread out over all the bench players.

I can't tell you how many times I've seen Booker dribble the ball for 10-12 seconds and with 4 seconds left dump it off to James or TJ who have to take a last second shot. It happens all the time and it is because the offensive play being run was unable to break down the defense. At that point hero ball (isolation) has to happen. Those hero ball players are Booker and TJ for the starters and James and Jackson for the bench. Every team has to have players who are willing to take the shot.

I guess fans just have to find a player to rag on. For me it's Len, he is far, far worse than James. Usually it is an epic failure when Len tries to go hero ball. This game he made a few really lucky shots that he usually misses.

Anybody that thinks Mike James doesn’t deserve the complaining, haven’t been watching games. He’s such a ball hog and looks for himself on every possession. He’s a bum that should not be in the NBA.

For stretches. I thought we gave a ton of uncontested 3's to Holiday and Valentine. They just didn't hit them.
Maybe it was on purpose, though, as none of these guys are doing well in the shooting department, with <.400 FG%.

Simply not true. Wow. He is not a starting pg, but this is so much of an overstatement.

EJ was hilarious about that last night. He was joking about how the Suns ought to let Holiday shoot all night because he was shooting so badly.

I did not like him at first. But EJ, as a color commentator is entertaining and informative and usually spot on in his evaluations.

EJ is the best in the league!

Every game i try to read the other teams game thread, and there are usually a few posters who are watching the Suns broadcast and they are always very very complimentary to EJ and Leander. Our broadcasts arnt filled with the typical "Homerism" that you get watching other teams streams. EJ will call out our own players, admit when calls are bad or good and is very very knowledgeable of the game in general. He would be perfect for National Television, so we are extremely lucky to have him for every game.

Holiday is the worst high volume shooter in the NBA. I had him on my fantasy team for a while because he had a couple high scoring games, and then he started going like 5-19, 6-21, etc, repeatedly so I dropped him. I later read in a Lowe column that he has the worst TS% by a long shot of people who took over a certain # of shots....and it might have been among some of the historically low players in history. He's bad.

Leander is so much better than he was first time around. Took a stab at being Al McCoy will all the catch-phrases - it never worked. Now he's calling it straight and staying patient with his delivery. Cheers, Tom! :)

MASSIVE difference between Booker over dribbling... he is a scorer and a shooter... ala like Curry, basically defenses are on their toes when he has the ball.

Mike James wants an open lane so he can get his shot stuffed.

Len is too easy, almost like Knight. Everyone does it.
