12 of 17, 6 of 9 from three. 1 turnover. 11 boards. Could it hurt to take a look?

Yep. I do. Both extremely limited on offense. Being athletic and active on defense are his main selling points. I don't know. I guess we'll see what he can do.

I see a skinny MKG in Jackson

This off season? My bets go on a deal with the Nets getting Dinwiddue or Lin. Lin coming off an injury, and both on last yr deals. Hopefully Dlo recovers and makes both expendable.

Other than that

Listed as a moderate strain.

Still trying to figure out Mike James situation. Booker injury doesnt open up a roster spot, expecting James situation to go until this evening.

Why does he like Mike James so damn much...

I'm not sure it's so much a love for James as it's they need him because they are literally out of G's.

I’d rather them trade a 2nd rd pick and acquire a Mudiay or Tyus Jones or someone like that than keep this Mike James experiement alive.

Josh Childress does not have the defensive awareness or pesky hands that Josh Jackson has shown... and thats comparing veteran Childress vs 20 game rookie Jackson

This is nuts.

He cant shoot well.. hence he must be terrible.

Need to calm down. He has shown a heck of a lot of good things.

Think back when Booker, Warren, Marion, Stoudemire etc... were rookies.

Josh Jackson being "extremely limited" on offense is hyperbole to a T.

He cant shoot...

He can penetrate, pass, slash and push the ball in transition.... yes, he's extremely limited.... "extreme"

The Ringer thinks Books injury is a “Blessing in Disguise” for ping pong balls and other players’ offensive development.

Gotta say I’m not too upset about getting an opportunity to see who’s going to step up and produce more to help fill the void Book leaves, especially after hearing it’s only a 3 week injury. Book dominates the ball in the half court a lot of the time, will be interesting to see how different our offense looks without Booker attacking like he does.

I don't disagree about the blessing in disguise as would be nice to see some other players - mainly Bender and Chriss - see what they can do

And if they get a loss or two - well that does help the ping pong balls.

So can PJ Tucker. Is he extreme too?

Apparently he's slinging it even quicker now. LOL
I guess he'll play a lot after March.

A blessing in disguise???
There is absolutely nothing positive about Booker going down... especially with an injury that can be continually aggravated

Gawd the shades are on

See what Bender and Chris can do???

This thought process is f-d up. How long we going to run a try out camp? Outside of Dudley, Chandler, and Warren... the rest of this lot should spend half their season in Prescott

Nah, Childress was much better as a rookie. Similar defense ratings. Jackson almost as good. Offensively quite a bit of separation.

Hopefully JJ has much higher upside though and by the end of his rookie season his numbers look as good or better than Childress' did.

I read the james situation as they are doing everything they can to trade monroe but so far no takers and if that doesnt happen jones probably gets cut.

Anyone know if they would be allowed to sign jones to a two way contract if he clears waivers?

I had a really hard time gleaning anything from Ryan's comments, except that neither of the two options they are considering is lucrative.

... Returning to Booker, we have several winnable games during his absence. @SAC, @DAL, @LAC, and potentially MEMx2. If he's out another week or so beyond that, you can add another @SAC and ATL too.
This is a really soft part of our schedule.

I don't know if many games are winnable without Booker. That leaves quite the gaping hole. It will be interesting to see who (or if anyone) steps up. Warren should do is thing, but we were already getting blown out 2/3 of the time WITH Booker.

Shooting is just one aspect... I want Jackson to be the All-rounder (slash, pass, defense, rebound) so he will fit in nicely with Booker, Warren and another offensive player, hopefully a big man

Someone that does not need to score, but still helps the team win and gel on court.

Bad form but he still almost shot 50% as a rookie. Jackson is in the 30% range.

Marion also played his best ball as a PF not a wing. Plus one huge difference is Marion was a good FT shooter. I think Jackson's struggles at the FT line are really hurting his game because I think he's rushing things so he doesn't get fouled. It's a very very bad trait that bad FT shooters can develop and something I worried about predraft. He really needs to get that figured out since you simply can't have a wing who shoots 50% from the line.

Didn't he shoot pretty well from the line last game? I thought that was one reason his stat line looked decent because he got to the line a bit and was like 6/8 or something.

So much truth in this post. How does Booker going down let us see what Chriss/Bender can do?? They already play 24 mpg each and aren't as good as a beefy, old Jared Dudley. Dudley knows what he is doing on the court and what he is and isn't capable of. Heck Josh Jackson is also better than them. When Chriss and Bender play, they look lost out there. Josh Jackson at least plays like he has a purpose.
