Dude, that Mitchell dunk had terrible extension. He like trex armed it into the hoop. Nance should have won.

Depends on what you are looking for.

When you got guys spending 10+ minutes missing dunks and have all the props (Like cupcakes and cars and ****), you get hate and people wanting it to go back to "Real Dunks".

When you get "Real Dunks", people complain because its not flashy enough.

Pick your poison. I was entertained.

Wait? Isn't that how they look this year?

No, ours don't have the "western" font.

Glad Dj fathead couldn't steal dbooks golden pearl!! I think current NBA players should judge the dunk competion.

I swear, some people......

So what was wrong with the judging? Were the scores really that off in your opinion? What scores did YOU give each dunk?

His arm wasn't fully extended like VC so didn't look as nice. But he has hops and throws it down with power. DSJ in the finals would've been something though!

I'm happy Mitchell won though with his strong season + winning the dunk contest and all this in his rookie year, should give him more of an edge to become something special in this league

Contrary to this, I feel bad for JJ for missing out, but it should light a fire under him and just add more weight to the chip on his shoulder. He's having the opposite season of Mitchell and both should be motivated by this going forward. When I say opposite I just mean he's not getting the recognition for all his hard work that he's put in after his shakey start

I was more impressed with Oladipo's first miss then all the dunks on the final round. They gotta stop with all the tribute dunks. My eyes were popping out when I watched Aaron and Zach goin at it, this year was just meh aside from 2 dunks.

Seeing a Sun knockin down 3 points and not hearing ""Proud to own the three-point zone! Fulton Homes donates one-hundred dollars to Suns charities" was refreshing. Someone should edit the video and insert that thing after whenever Book hit a three though.

When i saw Nance changed his jersey to Suns i thought like "Well this is how i imagine the way nba trades go down."

Dennis Jr. Smith got robbed. His second dunk was the best.

Nance's double tap dunk and windmill was pretty good. Overall Mitchell had some nice dunks but none of them impressed me a lot i don't think he deserved that much but still i think it was a good dunk contest.

Next year our boy Booker will defend his title as an All-star. Nuff said.

Who cares what I would have given them? The scores weren't terrible but if that was Tyler Ulis in the finals instead of nance you'd probably be a little pissed off at the outcome.

DSJr had the best dunk. I was overall more impressed by Mitchell than Nance. But DSJr probably could have won as well. Nance did have a great last dunk, but overall I don't think he was as good.

Nothing was as bad as Nate Robinson winning over this...

Of course it was. That is what was so cool about it. But I thought the new ones were the exact same too.

Just did some Wayback machine looks ...On March 1 2017 Donovan Mitchell was progged to go #40-45 in the mock NBA drafts at that time

Now he just won dunk contest and far more importantly, could easily win ROTY

Read: These college player ranking don't mean nearly as much as you believe...there's a ****load of poll "herding", meaning most of these "experts" just copy everyone elses list, then tweak a little here and there for their spin on who's who. It's mostly BS. If there were truly "pure" scouting, the descrepencies of player rankings would be far greater.

Establish talent tiers ...then just throw a dart! Because we're talking about 18 to (barely) 20 year old kids for the most part.
