You beat to the punch. I agree with you on Payton. We tanked hard and when Payton first arrived he was very productive and appeared to love it here. He shot the ball well and was pass first. I would consider signing him to a one year prove it deal. I would not give him a long term deal.

I just hope we do not see Uliss as our starter or first choice off the bench. A player development coach would be great if Booker cannot live without him.

Only in your mind and on paper. The reality is none of them but Booker have proven it yet.

After all if you can honestly say Bridges is better than Warren then why can we say Bridges is better Jackson or Bridges is better than Booker. At least Bridges plays defense unlike Booker and Bridges can shoot the three unlike Jackson.

Bridges plays defense, unlike TJ; and Bridges can shoot the three unlike TJ...........

So therefore Bridges is better than Booker and Jackson since Booker can't play D and Jackson can't shoot the three. Our best player is now Bridges according to some.

Yep - TJ really appears to be the odd man out. He might bring something in return.

If Lebron and company want to go to the Lakers, I would consider trading Warren to the Lakers as part of a deal to get our hands on Lonzo Ball. If we have to take on Deng so be it. I know a lot of you are not in love with Lonzo but he surely seems like his game would be ideal for our roster. His age, size and skill set fit like a glove. The only real issue I have is his father. I expect it is a pipe dream anyway. The Lakers would be fools to dump him.

I think Lakers would be ok dumping him - I think they realize that his shot is totally broke - he needs a complete rebuild of his shot mechanics. He needs to spend a whole summer with the rebuild - if not, then his offense will continue to suck. I say wait another year or half a year and get him for pennies on the dollar. Allow him the time to rebuild his shot and you will have a great PG.

I'm actually ok with Lavar - I don't take him seriously, think he's just a big mouth - makes me laugh.

Here's a video that explains his shot:

Another year of this and we can get him for 2nd round pick

Just wait it out.

It's more like

Jackson
Shooting: 5 / 10
Defense: 8 / 10

Booker
Shooting: 8.5 / 10
Defense: 4.5 / 10

Bridges
Shooting: 7 / 10
Defense: 7.5 / 10

So who would you rather keep TJ or JJ? Assuming it comes down to either one of them

JJ. He has elite level quickness for a SF. His shot is broken af but it's going to take less work to fix it than Lonzo. So.. silver lining.

Obviously JJ

People forget JJ looked as good as George when he was a rookie... JJ even looked better than Jimmy Butler as a rookie.

Butler did not become an efficient scorer until he was 24 years old Or even 25.

George only became an elite 3pt shooter after he turned 24 years old as well...

JJ is 21..... Off an impressive 2018 rookie year for a team that didn't have much

I knew JJ was very underrated by fans as a whole but thought us Phoenix fans having watched his 2nd half of the year could see how high his potential and ceiling looked.

Suns have a lot of assets to add to the roster

Chandler - expiring contract
Daniels - small dollars and expiring - a good "fill in" contract
Dudley - expiring contract
Warren is on a good deal - still not sure the team but that deal is pretty good
Williams is not guaranteed and also has team options so team taking him can always exercise and use as expiring next year I believe

Cap space: 15 to 20m (my guess the 20m includes Ulis and Williams gone)
Bucks pick or maybe one other protected pick of their own

Now, they don't have to do anything crazy. They can sign players to one year deals and live to be a player next summer.

But the potential is there to add two solid veterans: G and PF -- to really improve the roster

So, Knight coming back, organic growth of the young players, better coaching plus maybe adding players to the top 9 that are better than last year - could be a fun season. For sure a fun next two weeks until 7/6

Depends on their trade value. But I'll keep both unless one of them nets something really good. McD did say he didn't think we had a logjam at wing....pointing to Boston, GS and Houston and all their wings. Of course most all of those guys can play D AND shoot the 3. We only have Mikal for that....unless you count Bender.

Can’t wait for 2-3 yrs to pass so we can stop with the ‘at the same age’ comparisons to elite level players. It’s just silly. There is potential, then there is ‘if everything progresses in the very best case scenario’ potential.

As for TJ, it’s like he isn’t part of the core according to the talking heads.

I think its cool how that 2021 Miami pick suddenly became really valuable now that the sixers have it but we constantly heard how Miami will never rebuild and that the pick was late lotto at best.

It's been like that for awhile. We'll see.
