As a franchise we are all in with Booker, and he is closer in playing and mentality to James Harden/Kobe Bryant...every year he is getting closer to that type of player.

Even with that in mind Rubio is a big upgrade on our roster and we will improve our win record for sure. Not too dificult to do it anyway.

Don't think so at all. Booker had his worse 3P FG% this past season. I attribute that to two things. One, not being setup by teammates. Booker's first two season he was getting 77% of his 3P made that are assisted. 3rd season went down, and the 4th season only 58% of his 3P made are assisted. Compare that to Klay who is assisted on 3's made at 90%, or even Beal who is assisted on 76% of 3's made. Booker is having to create these 3's off the dribble. First two season he at least had Bledsoe. 2nd reason why he shot poorly is because of his hand injury. I knew that would be a season long injury for 3's. Anyway, with Rubio, I expect Booker to shoot at least 38% from 3, I expect that from Bridges also, and Oubre to possibly be at 35%. Rubio is going to do wonders in terms of setting up our guys for good looks.

If he has any sense, there's no way Booker wants to be the primary ball handler. I remember games last season where teams trapped him over and over, he was frustrated and couldn't punish it.

I think it's hard to say how Booker wants to develop. In a way, I think if he *could* be a Harden type offense creator we would've seen it with more success now but with an average of 21 wins over the past few seasons, I think it's clear that he's not quite ready for that yet and I don't really think it's his natural play style either. Quite often I'd see him get frustrated and turn the ball over because the defender is playing him super tight knowing his ball handling isn't elite just yet. I also think he does get frustrated too by rarely getting open shots and having to generate most shots off the dribble. I do think he'll appreciate not being the ONLY guy on the team being relied on to create for the whole team.

Playing with a Rubio type player who can set him and the rest of team up will take some defensive focus away and so he wouldn't need to work as hard for points. When the end of the game is closing in, he'll have more energy and I'm fine with Point Book late in game and when he's fresh (which was rare the past couple of seasons).

I just opened a new thread: Forum Nomads

At times, me (and any other who's willing) will post there some memes, gifs or funny things from the spanish forum or elsewhere.

Myself, I'll try to spare the oddest of my sense of humor to that thread and I'll try to behave at the other regular threads.

But I make no promises.

Just have to add I cannot wait to watch the Suns play this year with Rubio. Hopefully the coaching staff unleashes him to show his true talents. He's truly one of a kind.

I would have given him $50m/4yr over Rubio, personally.

I feel like you guys should offer him a good contract. He's a solid PG, who hasn't reach his full potential cause he is always on the bench

Too late now, don't have the space/need.

Magic need to get on that - god knows why they gave Aminu a deal when they could have gotten Satoransky for the same price.

Because John Hammond is like a crack head when it comes to long armed forwards, he can never have enough.

Not now. We have Rubio, Tyler Johnson, Ty Jerome and Okobo/Carter now in our rotation.

I personally would've liked Wright on the team but I see why we prioritised a player with more experience and proven playmaking abilities.

Another thing you all are going to love are the graphic design/video editing/meme wizards from Spain who follow Ricky from team to team. A sneak preview of coming attractions presuming these guys are still at it:

OMG....yeah, I know that we are talking height with shoes. 6'5?!?! Yeah, why not 6'7?

He is around 6'3 in shoes. 191 centimeters.

He was actually measured at 6'5 in shoes when working out for Sacremento Kings pre-draft back in 2009 at age 19. One picture of him, slumped over, next to Calderon isn't going to change that. Here are some pictures of him next to 6'3 Donovan Mitchell.

So you think for real that Rubio is anywhere close to 6'5? Come on, Rubio has been playing in the NBA as a starter 8 years, everyone knows for sure how tall is already.

But if you want some more pictures to understand his truth height here we go...

Next to the Shevd (6'6)
Image

Next to Curry (6'3) and Harden (6'5)

And there are more and more and more pictures...but just watching games you know that he is around 6'3 with great wingspan, good size for a PG.

Please stop posting pictures to compare height between players, it's just terrible. There's this thing called perspective, and the fact that a 2-D image is taken from a certain angle or that one guy is slightly closer to the camera than the other, affects your perception. Rubio was measured and has been listed at 6'4 ever since he got to the league, and you can clearly see during the games that he's bigger than guys like Curry, to cite an example in one of those pictures.

Also it's a pretty silly thing to be arguing about for days. Whether you think he's 6'3 or not it's not gonna change anything about him or his game.
