77% FG on dunks. That is less than Ayton shooting FTs

Contest between him and Josh Jackson.

Josh Jackson is 115/141, at 81.5%. God, how can we've had two guys like this playing for us at the same time!?

Combined 79% on dunks...

Sadly this article missed the worst ever move by a GM when the Suns traded away Dennis Johnson for Ricky Robey. We traded a HOF guard for a backup big man.

It's actually pretty funny how so many writers/podcasters seem to have no awareness of anything that ever happened beyond, what, fifteen years ago? The team's been around since 1968. Looking at this list, you'd think the Colangelos never erred - if these so called "Colangelos" did even exist. The article says that the Majerle-for-Hot Rod trade occurred way back in "the Stone Age" after all!

I'll do you one dramatically better. In the Suns second season, they improved from 16-66 to 39-43 with the addition of Connie Hawkins. They had a great roster 1-4 with budding young star Gail Goodrich, the great Dick Van Arsdale, the Hawk and Paul Silas. They were weak at the 5 with Neal Walk and no depth behind him. So what did we do? We dealt the budding young star Gail Goodrich to the Lakers for Wilt's backup center, Mel Counts. You ever heard of Mel Counts? No?

Goodrich was an All-Star through his six seasons with the Lakers. Then in 1976, he signed a free agent deal with the Utah Jazz. Player agency wasn't "free" back then and under league rules, the Jazz had to compensate the Lakers with a draft pick in order to sign Gail Goodrich. Gail tore his achilles that first season with the Jazz and only played 27 more games for the rest of his career. That draft pick? Turned out to be the #1 pick in the 1979 draft. The Lakers selected Magic Johnson.

So cry me a river about Channing F'ing Frye, kids.

Kaminsky is absolutely a liability defensively. They should've done better with that money.

Also if Cam Johnson is playing SG we are screwed. No freaking way that dude is guarding 2s. I still don't believe he can guard a bad 3.

Where is this narrative coming from regarding Cam Johnson's defense? He was a good defender in college. His Ortg was 132 and Drtg was 98. That is not shabby. To put it in perpective, Cam and Mikal had the same defensive rating in their final college seasons. Now I do not think Cam will be on Mikal's level, but he is by no means a bad defender.

I think what people are doing is over rating his lack of athleticism and then assuming that means he will be a bad defender. It is wrong thinking.

He is 6'9" and has never defended 2s. The idea that he is suddenly going to play SG for the 1st time in his career in the NBA is insanity. He defended 3s and 4s in college even if he filled more of a guard role on offense. The idea that he will walk into the NBA capable of guarding NBA 2s is insanity.

He is 6-9. He is not likely going to defend 2's. I am just not sure why you would say he can't defend "bad threes." Again. His defensive numbers were very good in college, and his athleticism at the combine was better than most. We won't know until he takes the floor but I would think he would at least project as an average or better defender.

It looks like we will have a new orange's jersey, hopefully it is better than the last one from a few a years ago.

DRTG in college is largely related to how good the team is. His DRTG was better in his final year because he was on one of the best teams in the country. He wasn't one of the best DRTGs on the team though. I doubt any rookie will project as a better than avg defender. But at least he is long...not sure if I'd call him really athletic for an NBA player. But he probably won't play a lot of minutes this year.

Yeah I'd say it's safe to say they will not be picking up his 4th year option.

So G-League starts after Memphis needs to decide on Josh’s option... no way his 4th year gets picked up.

Does this mean we won the JJ/Melton/2ds for Carter/Korver trade?

Jackson in G-League with no option pick up, Melton injured. Jevon the only one playing.

Yeah. Kinda.
