Don't understand the hate on Frye, I'm happy he got 8 million per, because we certainly weren't going to offer that. Definitely sounds like he took the money over opportunity, but he's still a stand up guy and hometown player.

Couple things..

1. Don't say I didn't tell you so about Frye being gone after the Kings game (last game).
2. Frye will be one of those players that leaves Phoenix and no one talks about again.
3. 8 mil is outrageous.

Frye was a great teammate but happy he is gone. Markieff will replace him, easily.

what free agents have they missed on that you would have signed? After the big names this fa class was pretty underwhelming imo

Let's hope the Suns front office doesn't make any panic moves like offering Deng a 12mil contract or Ariza.
I might get some sh*t for this, but I'd like us to trade a 2nd round pick for Amare Stoudemire/Iman Shumpert IF we aren't getting Lebron (which is likely) rather than overspend on 2nd tier/3rd tier free agents. I think we have enough cap space to do it. Keep Bledsoe. Let Tucker go or try and acquire a 2nd round pick and a TPE for him. It's a short term move that is low-risk/high-reward. Plus Amare is a huge expiring, and teams might wanna dump some contracts around the trade deadline (Kevin Love/Kevin Martin for Amare work). In the meantime we could run a lineup like this...
Bledsoe/Dragic/Green/Amare/Plumlee
Ennis/Goodwin/Warren/Kieff/Len +Shumpert/Marcus

Not a bad overall roster and perhaps Amare finds his former self in a Phoenix uniform and the Dragic/Amare pick and roll will be dynamite.

Depends on the price. PJ is an excellent defender and improving as a shooter.

Parsons, Hayward. We desperately need to upgrade the small forward position. Above any position. I really would have liked to keep frye. He opens up lanes. But I understand 8 million is a bit much. Make no mistake tucker is the major weak link here. We now lost one off our better shooters. Can't have only dragic as our only threat to shoot the three. That space is what allowed tucker to have WIDE open corner threes. Now tucker is effectively ineffective.

Feel free to disagree.

Would rather pay PJ over giving parsons or Hayward a insane near max offer.

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

I like parsons and Hayward too. Neither one had signed so there's still a chance. The problem is both guys are restricted so the suns will either need to crazy over pay or find a sign and trade. As you might have noticed none of the rfas have agreed to terms yet, they are always a little later in fa.

Hayward is a RFA, no need to get upset if we didn't get him. Parsons most likely will resign with the Rockets. But since neither is off the market, no need to be upset about anything so far.

I really hope we resign Tucker. Not only is he the heart and soul of our team, and a huge locker room guy, but it will piss off a bunch of posters here.

Bledsoe Dragic Marcus Markieff Plumlee

Still a decent team I think. Markieff might have to play heavy minutes.

Money aside, Frye is a sneaky-huge loss for us. Not a coincidence we were 8 points better on offense with him on the floor; the fact that Orlando was willing to splurge for him shows how highly he's valued around the league.

Let's see what McDonough does next...

If we resign Tucker and start him again, we are not going to make the playoffs (unless we have Love or someone at PF). I hope that would piss you off too.

I had a feeling teams would come sneak in with hefty offers for Frye and/or Tucker while we're hamstrung trying to keep cap space open for LBJ. Although in this instance, I'm OK letting Frye go since the deal is on the high end and I feel Kieff will play a much bigger role this season.

No doubt Frye will be missed, but not 8 Mil a year missed. Suns once thought Amare had a value and he said no and the Suns said ok best of luck. How did that turn out for NY? I understand that example isn't 100% apples/apples but you get the point.

i like it...but doesn't make much sense for NY. surely they can find more assets than just a 2nd round pick.

I think Amare opts out and resigns for a 3 year deal around 15-17m$.
