This. We don't have to have an either/or here. Imo, if we have interest in Monroe, we sign him to a front-loaded deal that would force Det to cut guys now to match. If they match then so be it. If they want a S&T, try to find one that doesn't involve Bledsoe. If they want Bledsoe, say no and make them match. If they match, then so be it and we hold our cap space for next season or for a different move.

Trading Bledsoe for Monroe doesn't improve our team. All it does is balance the positions. Adding Monroe to Bledsoe does both. If we're going to move Bledsoe for a big, I think we could get a better one than Monroe.

I'd give up our whole team for Drummond, but I doubt Detroit would do it.

The guy is pretty much untouchable. If a Pistons fan were to come in here and see what you just wrote, he would feel the same way as we would if we were to see a Pistons fan ask if there was any chance they could swap Jennings for Dragic.

PHX secures a good big-man that can grow with the team. The cost is high with Bled, Morri, picks going out and absorbing Smiths contract. Pretty decent balance of offense and defense.

Bledsoe/ Bynum
Jennings/ Meeks/ KCP
Butler/Morris/ Singler
Morris/ Morris
Monroe/ Plumlee

Even with the loss of Drummond, that is a better team than they fielded last year.

Yeah. I would take Drummond over Love every. single. time.

Only 3 guys I would take over Drummond; LeBron, Durant and Davis.

We have a bunch of bums on our frontline (bar Markieff). Suns needs Monroe. He's not a superstar, but he's solid, and that's what the Suns need.

I just got back to the states like a month ago, so I never got to watch that show, lol. Heard it got cancelled though! What a shame.
But yeah... Andre Drummond, lol. Beast. Has the making to be Dwight Howard without the diva-esque quality.

The longer this drags on, the more I am beginning to dislike Bledsoe. He was one of my favorite players, but this situation has been eyeopening. There have been subtle hints he doesn't really seem to like playing here. Before he got traded he wrote in his twitter bio that he played for the Clippers, after getting traded here, no mention of playing for the Suns. He also favorites that tweet about how the Lakers should sign him. I think he has good chemistry with the rest of the guys on the team, but not to the point where he hangs out with them off the court.

I feel like him and Rich Paul have some agenda to try to push him to the Lakers so he can try to build himself and market himself into a "superstar." Guys like the Morris bros, Dragic, Tucker and Archie are guys who you want on this team. Guys who rep the Suns on and off the court and are glad to be here. Remember McD and Babby said they're trying to build a culture here, and while Bledsoe may not have any known attitude problems (other than maybe hanging around some questionable figures), his unenthusiastic attitude towards being here isn't something that that fits that culture. I think him and Paul came at the Suns with some ridiculous offer like 5/80, knowing they would say no, and hoping they would try to trade him to another team (Lakers or Heat), without outright asking for a trade (in the off chance they actually accept the 5/80 offer).

Trading Bledsoe for a big would probably be the best course of action. Green and Dragic is still a great backcourt, and it addresses our terrible front court depth. I really hope we don't trade Green, he's an exciting player on a currently great contract. He plays with a lot of emotion, which Bledsoe lacks.

If you give Monroe 4/48, Pistons will match.

Here's a question...if by offering both of them 4/56 you guarantee we get both, without giving up any assets other than cap space, do you do it? An extra 4 mill in salary every year for next four but you get to have that core. Assuming that you then give dragic the same contract next year, that's locking up 3 stars for what will be around 55% of the cap once the new cba rolls around.

I trust this core and I'd do it.

Drummond is a pipe dream, stop it. As for paying bledsoe the max if he had no injury history, no. We are already offering him above market value as it is. I'd certainly give him more but not the max. Some of you guys really overrate bledsoe. He will never be a top 3 PG and shouldn't be paid like one.

S&T Bledsoe for a S&T Evan Turner and David West. Would really have a solid rotation of players. Turner can play the 2 and 3 spot.
