Remember when everyone here thought IT was gonna be the best trade asset since sliced bread?

My bet is Dragic is a Sun and IT is gone.

If we can get 2 first round picks and Deng for Dragic brothers and Tucker I'd be ecstatic

Or ship the other 2 PGs out for better deals and give the keys to Dragic. Bledsoe could bring a stud frontcourt player back and Thomas for his contract could also bring more than a Dragic rental.

IT produces! He scores on offense off the bench! What do you want him to do? Average 25/10?

Trade IT to Miami for two first round picks.

Then trade Goran to Houston for Motiejunas & Pelicans pick.

Morey should have the balls to roll the dice on Goran.

If we don't get Tobias Harris or 2 firsts then today will go down as a failure in my eyes.

Didn't Notraxxe already say we have a deal already in place for IT if we don't trade Dragic?

Although, I'd like to do it even if we do trade Dragic which I feel we must do as well.

IT is the perfect definition of empty stats. Everywhere he goes he puts up great stats and yet ain't nobody want him....Hmm....

We're in the final stretch, gents (and ladies?). Trying to put on my McD cap and figure out what will happen. Since we all think Dragic to NY or MIA, or IT trade, it's probably end up:

Morri and picks for Greg Monroe.

IT almost as many PPG and APG as dragic and a higher PIE % with 12 compared to his Dragic 10% :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Empty? Werent we winning when he was back from injury?

Here's my thinking....If you held a gun to my head right now and said Pick one: Max Goran, Trade him for scraps, or let him walk for nothing....I'd say Max him. and here are the 10 reasons why:

1. Salary cap is going up. It's not an IDEAL scenario to pay Dragic 20m/season, but it's not the death sentence it once would have been.

2. Dragic is the only player on this roster with any real playoff experience. This team will need that.

3. If we move IT, we don't have a single bad contract (IT's contract isn't actually bad, he just doesn't fit). Everyone is playing at or below their value.

4. The Morrii gave us a family discount. Say what you will about them, but they each took less money than they likely could have gotten on the open market.

5. We are stocked with young, cheap talent that is going to stay young and cheap for the next 2-3 years.

6. Goran is relatively healthy. He hasn't had any major structural injuries over his career and nothing degenerative. This isn't Amare Stoudemire.

7. He's well like by the fan base (until now) and I think the fans will have a short memory if he leads us to the playoffs, which he is capable of doing.

8. I still get the feeling he hasn't quite peaked yet. A la Steve Nash who peaked later in his career. I see Goran, and I see a very good NBA player, but I think given the right team around him, he can be even better (I also think he and his agent feel the same way, which explains their thinking here).

9. His NBA mileage is still relatively low. He's only had 3 seasons in which he's played over 30mpg. That bodes well for him playing at a high level deeper into a 5 year contract.

10. Right now, he's our best player. Bledsoe is likely to eclipse him soon, but at present, he's the best player we have and you have to hold on to talent.

I'm surprised Gerald and Plum have not been dealt yet. I will be so disappointed if we don't air out that locker room a bit.

If I'm the Suns I would not trade Dragic for another wing player. If our guys are already pissed at our front office it'll only get worse. We acquire another wing player, so what? Well, we already have Gerald, PJ, Marcus, Goodwin, Bullock, Warren.... Where will it end??? We need size, we need a post player, not another wing. I do not like nor want Tim Hardaway Jr or Jose Calderon or Luol Deng. Trade Dragic for some size on the inside and a draft pick and I'll be happy.

My prediction:

McDonough throws everyone a curve ball and deals the Morris Twins AND I. Thomas.

Clears up space for Green, and we try to reconcile with Goran.

Let him spend some time with Horny on his shot, and he could be very servicable

It has been 1 1/2 years and Bledsoe, Goodwin, Tucker, Plumlee have all shown no improvement on their jumpshots whatsoever. Hornacek is/was a really good shooter but his ability to teach players how to shoot is a myth.

He's a phenomenal shooting coach, just see what he did with Hayward, Matthews and even Korver (yes, he tweaked his shot a little bit under Hornacek)

But now he's a HC, he cant teach this guys 24/7 like he used to do.

From Synergy: Goran Dragic ranks 2nd among guards finishing 64% of his shots around the rim in the half court and 4th in total transition points
