I just don't see Jones as the type to be sharing stuff with people who would share it with Ashley Nevel or John Gambadorro.

She gets the info. It started with going straight to the players. She has a great personality and isnt bad to look at either, she started by doing interviews with players, and they just kind of open up to her. She then parlays that into a "Working relationship". If you watch her earlier interviews, theres just something about her that causes these guys to open up. They get almost flirtatious and by the end they are completely smitten with her (I cant blame them). Also, as a woman i feel she can reach an almost untapped source in the FO and thats the women that work there. Women talk to women, and boy do they like to talk! One of our best past Inside info posters got their info from their mother who worked as a secretary in the FO for the GM! She knew it all because she saw it all.

My point is Ashley is the real deal. In her short time covering the Suns, i believe her sources 150 times more than any Gambo source, and he has been in the game for yeeeeeeaaaaaarrrrrrssss!

Good info - thanks

I have realized that Gambo doesn't have the sources (Sarver, maybe Gentry) like he used too

Lonzo Ball is that guy. Give me Lonzo, which we'd have to do in a 3 way trade with New Orleans with the Lakers getting AD most likely.
Wait what? Lonzo is not and probably never will be a dribble drive PG. Dude litteraly never does that. Truly I'm not sure there's a PG in the entire league who's less of a dribble drive get by their man guy than Ball.

Not to mention the thing Dinwiddie does best is drive.

This is going to have to be a pretty darn good PG on at least a two year contract. Anything less and it is shades of Antonio McDyess.

Edit: That's $34M of outgoing salary if the trade happens after we have drafted #6. We could take $42M in players. Otherwise it's about $29M and we can take on $36M in players.

Bledsoe's next contract will be working behind the chair in Lebron's barbershop

I'd accept that deal and quickly change my number. Winslow would be a top 5 pick in this draft probably when he was coming out and we still get 13 so you Clarke lovers can still draft him.

I feel that 1st tweet is a direct response to Gambo's tweet of "Suns not offering #6 for Lonzo".

Far from sexy and probably against their better judgement, basically the Phoenix Suns' Special!

And you too.

I wouldn't trade Johnson for either of these corpses. Tyler is and will be a better player next season and in the future. I'd bet my left nut that Tyler Johnson will get a bigger contract than Teague and Tragic when all these 3 guys hit the free agency in 2020.

User has been warned.

You are talking to a guy who traded you Tyler Johnson. Thinking that he would get better and amount to something is what led us to having one of the worst contracts in the league. I imagined most here would see Tyler as a filler type contract especially with Booker taking the lionshare of minutes at SG. When I suggested this trade I was in no way happy to be taking TJ back btw.

Pass. Not a fan of Teague at all and I don't think he's much of an upgrade over Johnson. Certainly not at the expense of dropping down 5 spots

alamin330 wrote:I would say 6, tj and tj is too much for Jrue. Especially since he doesn’t really want to be there or play pg. 6 for Conley or Paul might be ok if we were contending but we’re not. That would be a waste. If we could send warren, the bucks pick for Paul or Conley that’s a deal. There’s not many good point guards in the nba. There are a lot of backup PGs disguised as starters. Reggie Jackson is the main one. He’s a backup pg and we should not trade anything for him. He’d be like Bledsoe who did nothing to elevate his team.

Which works well for Booker then since Booker will have the ball in his hands the majority of the time. In theory, it would be best if Booker was off-ball 60% of the time like Klay but realistically, you're not going to get a PG that is so elite that it would take the ball out of Booker's hands the majority of the time. And that is why Jrue would work with Booker. It would still be in Booker's hands and Jrue would be able to cover a lot of Booker's defensive lapses.

Wait did you also just suggest Paul? As in Chris "34yo and $125m left" Paul?

If the Suns used their $9M in cap space to take on a player making that in a trade would they then be able to use their full MLE or would it be the same as if they signed a guy using that space and they can only use the 'room MLE'? I think it's just the room MLE but I'm not 100% certain.

I think (please correct me) if we do go over the salary cap via trades and signings via bird rights, the room MLE would become available to us then. Room MLE is available if you're under the LT, which we would be in this scenario.

So James Jones got three rings as a role player for Lebron. After waiving Chandler gotta wonder if he's got a couple more favors to send his way???

Just watching this made me realise how frustrating it would be as an NBA player to play against someone as big, skilled and strong as Lebron. In Monty's position there, if Lebron was backing you down, there's literally nothing you could really do if you're not as strong if not stronger than him. And then if you are, you best hope you're as quick because he'll just spin move around you. Not sure why I'm thinking about this now but usually being one of the smaller guys on the court when I play pick up, I'm used to using all of my strength and technique against thiccbois with skills but once they start to work in the post, there's virtually nothing I can do against them.
