Not for Jimmy and scraps though.

Sadly Ishbia will approve of a KD for Butler + 3-4 second round picks.

And he would extend Butler the max

Like if butler wants an extension it should be like 3/100m

He is not a max player anymore

I don't mind trading KD for a package of picks, period. But if we're looking at moving KD, my first port of call probably wouldn't be the Heat and Jimmy. It would be some other team with more picks and such.

For example, the Warriors apparently could've added more picks than what Heat have to offer.

But Durant nixed the deal - supposedly

The Heat deal would have included a pick and Jovic. If we could have found a way to get Ware from them, I would be pissed a deal didn't happen.

For the Warriors, it was reported the Suns wanted a killing from them. It sounds like the W's called and asked what it would take. We said Kuminga, Podz, picks, filler (with us spinning the filler and change to Miami to get Butler). Had the Warriors said yes to this, I don't think anyone would have cared what KD thought. But they seemed to think it was a lot (which it would have been) so we bailed

Either overpay or we don't move KD.

I'm betting we're telling the Heat we want Ware or else don't bother. Though we can't legally get him. I'm surprised teams don't work around the CBA by doing separate wink/wink trades. KD for Butler and picks. Lee and Bol for Ware (I realize Miami deems him untouchable)

That isn't a very amazing haul for Jimmy if I'm being honest.

This is turning out to be very bad for Ishbia. No Butler. No quality player added. No improvement. Worst possible scenario for this team.

An inconsistent Wiggins, two filler players, and a protected first? That’s a huge win for GS. Another team that is now better than the Suns. Yay.

Nurkic is still on this team too. Not even in the playoff picture. Google what’s the worst possible scenario for the Suns? You are living it.

Well he is expiring and said he wouldn't extend. I mean I think he kind of torpedoed is own value, but saying he only wanted the Suns and doing all he did. But in the end it probably works out for GS if they want to keep him. Or they can do a S&T. Suns will probably try all summer to say they are pursuing Jimmy in a S&T while not talking to Beal but knowing he's the only guy that could be moved.

I think it's kind of hilarious that I don't think Ishbia even ever talked to Beal about being traded, and when Beal kept saying he hasn't been approached, or had discussions, but isn't interested in moving his family, KD's name finally popped up because something had to give, right? I mean it backfired a little bit for Ish leading to KD being mentioned in trade rumors to where he had to go tell him he's not getting traded.

I think we'd actually be pretty exciting if we hadn't done the Ayton/Camara trade for Nurkic/Allen. I know most hate Ayton, but I think Camara and Dunn as young athletic wings makes us more exciting and it would be nice to have a whole team of those guys like OKC does.

I'd much rather have Camara than Grayson or Ayton than Nurkic. I mean all these trades he sucked. I didn't mind the Beal one given we already gave up everyone and all our picks for KD and traded Camara and Ayton for Nurk, because Shamet was awful and Paul was pretty washed, and we had no cap space or ability to get anyone else. But obviously that makes it quite expensive and more difficult to make trades.

Anyway, here we are.

Add in what he really wanted was the 121/2

Thank goodness for Beal

Either Pat Riley was very annoyed at Butler, Ishbia, or both. We basically had an identical deal for Butler.

Has reality sunk in yet?

If Heat want to trade butler they will still have to accept Beal. You actually believe KD coming to the Heat? Lol

I never believed KD was coming here. And I knew there was no way in hell we were ever taking Beal. Cheers lol

I don't even think there was ever any deal in place Beal nixed. So the hate or even love thrown at him probably doesn't matter, but I guess it was nice that he came out and said he loves Phx and his family is settled here and he likes it. He's committed to Phx, like Book, and KD I guess.
