I'm of the same opinion.
Additionally, depending on how the Lakers fare this offseason could be a determining factor in how much value we truly got with the Lakers FIrst. Potentially

Dragic - Lakers First (mid lotto - to late first)
OR
Knight - Heat 2018 First - Heat 2021 First

I'm no Knight fan by any means, but his production to start the year was hands down 10x better than Dragic's. And those Heat draft picks have the potential to be 10x better than that Lakers pick as well.

But if the Lakers end up at #4 this draft, i'll have to revise my feelings.

If we get the 4th pick and Bender, Ingram and Simmons are off the board, would you trade it and the Cab's pick to PHI for Saric and Embiid?

I probably would, just with the idea of getting Saric. I don't believe Embiid will have an NBA career beyond what we've seen from Oden. He may never play at all.
That said, I don't think the 76ers do it.

At that point it's basically Brown/Dunn for Saric, with the possibility of Embiid being full form. If I wasn't so worried about Embiids health that's an easy deal, but with him being such a question this is a huge risk. I don't think I'm ready to take such a massive risk with the highest pick we've had in years. Brown > Saric, and if Embiid stays in injury purgatory, that's a big loss.

I would LOVE to get Saric on our team. I doubt the 76ers would trade him though.

We should sign and give Bennett a run the rest of the season, rather than sign some guy from the D league to replace Hump.

Sure. Brown has one of the best athletic foundations you can have coming out of college as a 19 year old. Great combination of strength, quicks, and ups. He's also very good at finishing by the rim and contesting for rebounds - great for a 3. Beyond that he has the ball handling ability to get a defender off-balance and actually get to the rim, although he can over dribble at times. He needs to become a willing passer and a more consistent shooter, but he can easily be a fantastic offensive player. Saric is a fantastic passer for his position, but I don't really see how he's gonna put the ball in the basket. Has a very meh jumpshot and is lacking the finishing ability on par with Brown. Furthermore, Brown has a ton of defensive potential, with him showing flashing of brilliance when he's locked in. Even if Brown doesn't improve from this point hes still an effective 2 way SF/SG in a small role ala what Justice Winslow is doing this season. It doesn't seem the same with Saric, as he'll need to improve a bit more to be a key rotation player on a competitive team. I don't wanna knock Saric, but I just mean to highlight how Brown is the better prospect.

Sports app TheScore reported that the Suns have interest in signing Bennett.

I wouldn't mind that at all, I mean it's basically a 1 month rental to kick the tires and see if the staff can whip him into shape and make him even a fraction of the talent he's supposed to be.

I hope we pick up Bennett and Earl Watson re-enacts this scene at practice.

Amazing how Cleveland can have the best player on the planet (all Curry discussion aside) and still not be able to put together a cohesive group around him.

I was thinking the same exact thing. Irving for Bledsoe would work out PERFECT. Lebron gets his mini-me and we get the younger more well rounded PG.

Would we really be keen on Irving? This is a guy who wanted out BEFORE Lebron got there and carried them to his first playoff appearance. Do we really think he'll be content with the Suns?

I would be that keen on Irving. Super keen. He is locked up for four years after this one. We would get a honeymoon period to woo him.

Yep. Super keen. He's not unhappy cause they aren't winning. He's likely unhappy because (a) it's Cleveland and (b) Lebron runs the team and is kind of a doosh. I'd do Bled or Knight and throw in other parts if needed to get it done, Archie, pick, etc. this summer. It is amazing to me that Kyrie is only 23, feels like he's been in the league for forever.

Cavs don't need a superstar PG to win, see what Lebron did in Miami w/ freakin Chalmers and Cole. They need a solid off the ball shooter/playmaker and Offense needs to go through Lebron. I almost feel like Knight is a better fit for what they need, but bron bron and Bled are buds, so who knows.

Would be great to send them Tyson as well...they need interior D badly
