Collison
Aminu
Thad Young
Patrick Beverley
Morotic
Ricky Rubio
Corey Joseph
All would help the Suns. I would be very happy wiht two of the above - meaning on PF and one PG

The Davis situation will be super interesting. The Ingram health issue complicates this because while prognosis is positive that's a serious thing and until he has a full clean bill of health I don't see how he can be the headliner in a Davis trade so unless LA jumps up in the lotto I don't see any way they have a package to get them in the Davis discussion in July.
So that leaves Klutch with a few routes.
1) They could go nuclear and come out very publicly saying he will only consider resigning in LA hoping that drives his value down to just rental offers and maybe LA gets back to the table. But if they really want to win championships this is a bad route because it potentially burns another year of his prime and if he can't join Bron until 2020 then Bron might be too old for that team to really be great. Teams would still make decent offers at a rental price and try to win this year then convince him to change his mind.
2) They could come out and say he will consider anywhere. This is best for the Pels and he probably ends up in Boston or NY but I think mystery teams could emerge like Denver.
3) Davis and Klutch could come to the realization that the LA plan isn't going to work and completely change course and opt for the money and take the super max with NO. See if Griffin can put some players around him and if they are unhappy in a year or two then quietly push for a trade.
Ultimately I still think he gets traded this summer but it's less of a certainty than I would have thought a couple of months ago.

If Kleber were not an RFA - I would have him on the list. Suns are in a precarious position in that they need to improve. A guy like Kleber would tie up cap and the Mavs probably match.
So, if I am the Suns, that puts them in the position of taking a chance and possibly losing an upgrade.

Karim is right some times wrong sometimes. More Broussard or JordanSchultz than Woj - but this is interesting. Presti to the Lakers if he is correct. The Lakers looked at the some good GMs --

If I were Griffin, knowing Clutch...I'd certainly dangle the big Cash to AD. He wont lose value, outside an injury. I keep Jrue, sign Randle and get some quality vets wanting to compete/contend. But if they trade Jrue, I think it comes at the draft (especially if we are involved*) No Jrue is a guarantee no AD and likely reversed.
Put up or blow up. Both AD and Jrue will be tradable practically anytime in the upcoming season if they arent winning. Winning cures everything. I think ultimately the choice comes down to Jrue and AD. Griffin and Paul will follow their lead.
*... Draft deal I could see, may be hope for.... We get # 2 or # 3 and Morant is available... Morant, Warren, and Milw 1st for Jrue. No Morant, I see no deal.

Forgive me for not remembering this but since Kleber is only a 2nd year player, the Mavs wont have his full Bird rights and they can only go to the MLE to sign him?
Just say no to idiots!!

I don't really like the idea of trading Zion or Morant for anyone other than someone like Anthony Davis with a commitment to resign. I'm ok with trading any other player in the draft for an upgrade though.

Lowered expectations? Our main Improvements should come from player development. Look at our young core compared to the rest of the league.

I’m just saying. Of all the really good players who are free agents this summer if suns only end up with any of those guys or if any of those guys are their main targets it’s going to probably be another long sad season. Beverly is the only guy I’d go after for his intensity that the suns lack. The rest of those guys only play well as role players at best. As you can see by the sweep of Joseph, young and collision all on one team and couldn’t win 1 game against the Celtics without oladipo. Is mirotic even playing in the playoffs? Kleber who? What is he gonna do to get the suns over 20 wins. Mavs barely won any games and had a more experienced roster and coach but you think for some reason that Kleber is going to help? Rubio is an average pg who would be an ok addition if suns improve their 3 pt shooting. In my opinion that list of free agents is terrible and will only keep the suns at the bottom.
I like to have high expectations. I would aim for guys who can actually contribute

I think it's just realistic expectations considering the cap space they actually have and the fact that the big FA's never go to a losing team in a non marque city. It's just the reality of the situation. If you take the stance that anything less than Kevin Durrant level type signing is a failure then just get mad now because it's not going to happen.

There are more FA not named Durant who can help a team win games. I just don’t think any of those guys are on that list. That list looks so depressing after such bad season.

Exactly - its player development. And how a guy like Booker gets better, Bridges, Ayton. Even Oubre and Tyler Johnson if they are back.. Warren &/or Josh - as I think one of those guys, if not both, are going to be traded for a player and or cap space.
But the above players - I get are not stars like the K-Klub. But they should all help the team and make them better, more competitive on a nightly basis. And that has to be the next step of development. Winning games - maybe getting close to .500.

And it’s really nothing to be ashamed of or upset that you don’t hear our names mentioned by the national media as destinations for players like KD/Kawhi right now. We really can be a top contending team if our young stars develop and we put the right supporting pieces around them over the next few years. (A lot of those supporting players are listed above)
We don’t even need to hit on a star in this draft, a good role player similar to Bridges is all we need. But if we do get lucky and land Zion/Morant, most gms are going to wish they had our roster.

...... but you think for some reason that Kleber is going to help?.....
Heck yes.... he rebounds, plays D, shoots well enough, can run the floor, and just knows how to play basketball. He's what we hoped Bender would be.
If all we did was draft Morant, sign Kleber, Holmes and Bender, Oubre too of course.... I'd be looking forward to the upcomer season.
Crazy?

I mean the draft is going to dictate the list for the most part because there are so many variables. Where we pick, do we keep the pick, what player we get (pg or pf or BPA). So depending on the draft of course and what happens with Oubre and Tyler. If we keep oubre and tyler and don't resign any of our other free agents and lets say we draft morant:
ed davis
marvin williams
Bojan
delon wright
Brogdon
D Rose
Taj Gibson
Randle
Stanley Johnson (don't judge. I still think he can become a good player in a Diaw type of mold)
Noel
Butler
Tobias Harris
Seth Curry
Gay
Lin
Portis
Same scenario if we draft Zion:
ed davis
marvin williams
Bojan
delon wright
Brogdon
D Rose
Taj Gibson
Stanley Johnson (don't judge. I still think he can become a good player in a Diaw type of mold)
Noel
Seth Curry
Gay
Lin
D'Lo
Rozier
Dragic
Tyus jones
FYI: im not opposed to the other guys on the list as backups especially the pgs. If we did get Morant then collison, rubio, and joseph would be perfect. I already said I would want Beverley. Aminu and Mirotic would be good off the bench. No thanks to Kleber or thad young. Of every player listed Kleber would be the worst allocation of funds this team could spend at this point of their development.

When Ayton is focused on his defensive assignment, he's always been really good defensively. When he's asked to be an anchor for the entire team's defense, he gets lost in no-man's-land, is late or completely misses help opportunities and at times either doesn't give full effort or gives up early. I think with more experience, better conditioning, more strength, better understanding of the defensive schemes and hopefully better defenders on the team, he'll elevate his team defense to the level of his individual defense
