Chambers has a line about 'not knowing what hard work is'. Wish I remember who said it but predraft I remember some scout saying their concern was that Ayton thinks he works hard but he doesn't really understand what that means for an NBA player. That line stuck with me.

Also Chambers sounds about as done with DA as most of this board.

Chambers needs to take Ayton to his Utah ranch and work him all summer long with no access to video games. Up early, work hard all day, to bed late, rinse and repeat.

I've been one of the biggest DA defenders around here for years, but this series was the last straw for me. No matter what I think I see in him, the proof is in the +/-.

We should and I'm sure we will trade DA this summer. There are teams that could use him, and it's not inconceivable that the right coach and a change of scenery gets more out of him, but he's exhausted all the opportunities we had to give him.

Dreaming about what DA could be was fun. And despite his shortcomings, he was almost good enough for us to win a chip or two.

What a shame.

Time to move on.

I agree with everything you said! And while it is incredibly disheartening to see this outcome for our franchise's first and only #1 pick ever!!! And while I personally ABSOLUTELY DO believe it was Saver and our front office that began this separation and resentment back in 2021, as well as the constant irrational bordering on pathological vitriol exhibited by some suns fans and the media at times directed at Ayton, It's also absolutely his responsibility to try and block out such negativity and distractions and play with more maturity and professionalism. For everyone involved in this combustible separation/ situation. Ayton 100% needs to be moved this summer for his prosperity and ours going forward. And even though I think it'll be important to recoup lost assets especially young talent and draft assets to have operable cost control balance to supplement our roster, I'm currently thinking the best overall trade we might complete considering all current factors would be the Atlanta trade for Capela and Collins! Something like Ayton/Shamet Craig for Capela/Collins/46th pick?

Ayton will remain as one of the players on a well constructed team which reached the finals. All the potential of a great two-way player, but it's obvious he'll not reach it on the Suns as his days here are numbered. He can still fullfil that potential on another team, but needs to show a lot more professionalism than the one displayed this season, especially during the playoffs.

Curious to see what Jones can get for him. Mavs and Hawks are interesting trade partners if those teams find it appealing to add same age player to their PG stars. Green + one of Mavs overpaid shooters may fit well next to KD Booker combo.

I really think this is the end of the road for Ayton as a Sun. One thing that KD learned from the Nets and Kyrie experience is that you simply can't win alongside guys whose priorities are not placed on basketball. Elimination game at home in a year where you have a chance to win it all, and he pulls this...... Suns fans have been patient enough with him but this shows who he is as a competitor

KD and Book are both guys who live and breathe basketball, then you have $30m on a guy who you can't trust in the trenches alongside you? Nah, ship him out on the next flight. I think we can at the very least get a rotation player and a pick for him.

Our best option for Ayton remains another team's player that has also worn out his welcome. Collins and Capela have always been the best way to go there. Collins seems just as broken over there with things and would welcome a change in scenery.

Synder is the one who found Rudy Gobert so he knows his bigs. They also have Okongwu who wants to start and despite what BW thinks him and Ayton would make a good pairing in the front court.

Wow I cannot believe Ayton is out tn. Injury or not this is incredibly disappointing. These are some Ben Simmons levels of going out sad here. Damn

We've typed a million words about DA these past 5 years but really it comes down to one word. Unreliable

Hard to compete at the highest level when you don't know what you're going to get night to night. The margins are slim in the playoffs and dogging it even one quarter can be the difference.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Doesn't mean something is broke probably some muscle tears and I don't think pain medication is given out as freely after Alonzo's kidney issues after taking painkillers trying to play through injury.

He did take a pretty serious knee to the ribs though and with the short turnaround time it wasn't realistic for him to play game 6. Hopefully small ball will save us as I don't think Jock and Bismack can stay out of foul trouble.

If this clown is still on the roster come opening night next season we should all boycott this team.

He's just as bad as Ben Simmons to me, get rid of him at all costs.

Having elite and high IQ defenders like Bridges and Crowder really helped. DA is exposed without those two

DA was elite too in '21. Not so much after that. The question is can Vogel get him back to that level.

Also wonder if he stays, does he get a green light to shoot some 3s like in the bubble, pre-CP3. Vogel and that other guy mentioned, Fizdale if hired, appear to like bigs shooting 3s.
