What former players? You would think it meant players that actually played under Watson some.

Probably former players that are involved with the team, like Eddie Johnson and Tom Chambers.

Yeah, I read that the other day. I actually thought Darvin Ham sounded pretty good. Obviously Messina should be near top of list if available.

Yeah, I guess they were all around for the 50 year thing and probably watched opening night.

This is pretty much what I've been saying. All that lovey dovey crap and yoga sessions can only last so long. In the end, the vast majority of NBA players didn't make it to the NBA by not being competitive and wanting to win.

I like Messina and Chris Fleming from that list. Just watched the Brooklyn game today and they briefly talked about Fleming - sounds like an interesting candidate that well and truly proved himself overseas and as the coach of the German National team.

Associate head coach Jay Triano is expected to become the interim head coach, league sources said.

General manager Ryan McDonough and Watson had often been at odds in their short partnership together, league sources told ESPN. Owner Robert Sarver was a significant part of the decision to replace Watson so early into the season, league sources said.

Yeah Fleming sounded pretty good based on that. Not sure I want another former player like Stack or Brent Barry.

Ok, so we need to trade Bledsoe for sure because he loved Watson. We are being **** hard! What a season....
While I didn't know Bled was this close to Watson, I fully anticipated that the potential 'backlash' from a Watson firing from the players was vastly overblown by some fans here.

he is friends with Watson, but took a pretty even approach with that tweet. His responses are divided as well. Which always happens with the coach/players debate. In this case and most its never a clear cut answer but both parties are at fault and need to be dealt with. In this case Watson needs to go, and so do Bledsoe, Chandler, and anyone else who is going to go out there and not put in any effort.

Glad Watson is gone, such a young team as Suns needs a good X-and-Os, holding-his-players-responsible coach. Defensive-minded if possible, it would be a nice change as this team knows as much about defense as my grandma.
Screw the whole love and yoga BS, start from the bottom with basics. No Jay Trianos of the league though, go for Messina if possible.
The next thing to do is to trade Bled for someone with potential (I wouldn't mind Elfrid Payton + change) and Chandler for pennies. His role as a mentor hasn't been exactly a success (Len) and his defense especially lately has been atrocious, not a good example for Chriss and other guys. Give a starting job to Len to show he belongs and if it doesn't work oh well, we're going to be a bottom 3 team anyway.
I didn't think I would ever say it but I wish we had not traded PJ Tucker. This guy always gives his all.

Are we going to trade Bledsoe? I assume we are going the ultra tanking route.

EDIT: Time to move Chandler/Len

Can we just trade Bledsoe for Budenholzer or Malone? I said it in the game thread earlier today already, I'd give up our 2018 1st and more to get our Pop/Carlisle/Stevens...

Watson knew that he would be fired a couple days ago, he liked this tweet...

I didn't really pay attention to Toronto when Triano was coach but anyone have insight on his style, schemes and approach etc?

Makes sense that he knew especially after his confusing comments after the lakers game referring it to "these programs"

I just remember him being hired to bring in a pass first offense that he apparently implemented in Portland.
