Lol Mavs winning the lottery doesn't smell rigged at all. If there was any doubt Luka trade was done under the table...

Yes

A post Achilles injury Tatum is better than KD 2-3 years down the track

Oh it's the Spurs with 2nd pick. WWE league as even a Mavs fan wrote on their forum. Teams "winning" lottery with 1.8% chance. Good we've Ishbia to make sure there is 0 chance we get so lucky in next decade.

I guess that puts an end to my hope Nico overpays for KD. Now they either keep Flagg or trade him for Giannis.

That’s interesting…. I probably would do it. 18 months to heal basically

Bill Simmons must be crying

Celtics looked like a multiple champions team and now after losing in ECSF and Tatum getting injured will probably get blown up for luxury tax reasons. It's OKC time if they manage to win the title this year.

Ryan Dunn would be better than KD 3-4 years down the track as well because KD will surely be retired by then

Ringers' mock draft for us is a pretty bad take!
They have us taking a skinny 6'1 scoring guard in Tahaad Pettiford. Now Pettiford is good, shifty and a solid shooter/ scorer. But getting smaller with an undersized 6'1 scoring guard that doesn't really pass and isn't a great defender makes absolutely no sense whatsoever!

They were never planning for this iteration of the roster to be sustainable. But they were OK to go this deep into the 2nd apron, giving those key role players like KP, Jrue and White those huge extensions while also supermaxing both Jays because it was either they win like 2-3 titles in a 3-4 year window or they win 1 (like they did) and look to divest from those big contracts. In either scenarios, there was a timeline for when it'll become sustainable. But they'll then pivot to retooling with younger pieces around the Jays and carry on trying to compete that way.

What nobody counts on is a freak injury like this that will take Tatum out of the equation for that likely window.

Thanks for reminding me we had a pick this year. Win!

Essengue dropping to 30 is nuts. We better be all over that pick if he's truly up for grabs in that range.

I'm happy for this Rockets outcome because despite how much I truly hate the idea of Giannis on the Spurs, this 10th pick outcome means that the Rockets now have very little chance of outbidding any of Brooklyn, OKC, or San Antonio for Giannis. And that tracs in our favor to then trade them KD as a consolation prize for our picks back and some young players and fillers too!

This is how I felt after the Suns pick drop down one spot. Really petty stuff and it's not much but it's honest work

I'd trade them both to get Achilles Tatum.

After 8th and 14th teams won 1st and 2nd picks it feels lucky not being the absolute laughing stock of the league.

The other joke teams of '25 season Mavs and Sixers at least got a top 3 pick.

Utah's disgraceful ranking shouldn't have been rewarded. I was rooting for BRK or WAS to get Flagg
