They might be able to move Jackson to a team like the Knicks since they have cap space and missed out. I don't think the Clips would want him but they might take him too...since he's an expiring it doesn't matter...Knicks working on a 2 year timetable anyway now so could pick up his option and work with him for 2 years....could just hope the Barrett/Jackson/Knox/Randle/Robinson along with DSJ grow into something.

Or we could stretch Josh.

One of the PG has to get moved I feel like. Rubio, Tyler, Jerome, Melton and Okobo? Cant see us having 5 on the roster

Melton and Okobo and Tyler Johnson actually all more of combo guards anyway. Johnson more of a SG really. But he expires anyway.

They are only like $1.4 million each...league minimum is about a million. So what's the point of moving them really? You just have to add some other guy..probably a G leaguer....so you save only maybe $500K if you move one of them...and that's replacing with undrafted rookie.

If you replace with a vet, even a 1 year vet, they make the same....they are basically on minimum deals. Why not keep development guys at end of roster?

Because like Jackson they are not in our future plans.

LOL
yes, funny... But it didn't specify the tax line on the website. And also hard to tell how far above the cap line we'd be after resigning Oubre, If he gets a substantial offer too. I wasn't assuming it was the luxury tax by the way man. Just was unclear that there isn't a tax aside from the luxury tax once you go above the cap line before the luxury tax line either. If that makes sense...... :dontknow:

I posted something a couple times that says you get one MLE....one if you have cap room at start of FA, thus the room exception, and one if you don't....and that # depends on if you are under or over the tax (non tax MLE or tax MLE).

I think Oubre will take some deep breathes before signing with anyone.
He can make MONEY this year.

Obvious that Johnson is trying to rid us of anything that is McDonough that isn't named Booker. JJ, Melton, Okobo's days are numbered.

Suns were able to eventually trade both Markieff and Marcus Morris after they became public team cancers and assaulted a man in a rather shady situation somewhere in Phoenix. Suns will be able to trade Josh Jackson eventually, just not sure of the timing of the trade.

Oubre doesn’t make sense. They need shooters/ guards. And they need to flex their “championship potential” to get guys on bargain deals.

I hope not. Getting Oubre for cheap would be amazing.

No way. They will want productive players...if they split their cap space it will be like Beverley, a sharp shooting wing and maybe a big. They certainly wouldn't give him a big offer. Well, I don't know...they haven't been very smart, but with LeBron and AD, Oubre just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

MoBros had value on the court though. Jackson has no value on or off the court really
