If you were them, would you trade Edwards for Simmons?

I know this isn't possible because of salary matching.

I also know read they view Russell as a core piece they keep (even though their salaries would be fairly close in a swap).

But they also talk about Edwards still being there after a trade, so that doesn't make sense.

Obviously you trade Russell for Simmons if Towns is ok with that.

Can Simmons and Edwards co exist? Edwards isn't know as a shooter and is more of a driver, but I think he did improve his shooting.

Russell may fit better with Simmons, at least for now, but obviously Ant has more upside.

If you are the Sixers you probably want more than Russell, but would they be better with Russell?

Obviously Simmons with Towns is kind of the perfect match so this would be interesting.

Simmons and Towns couldn't be a better fit for two flawed players at the 4 and 5, so it makes a ton of sense.

I think Ant will get there as a shooter so that wouldn't stop me pulling the trigger if i was the Wolves.

I'd happily move on from Russell (I don't rate him at all), but as you correctly point out, will Kat be happy with that and is that enough for Philly... Maybe Russell and a draft pick, but Philly wants to win now so not sure...

What is Griffin doing with the Pels?

Surrounded Ingram and Williamson with - Valanciunis, Hayes, Satoransky, Graham, Lewis, Alexander-Walker.

Compare that with the job Jones has done building out from a big 2.

That's a real head-scratcher. Although I'm not familiar with their cap situation. Although the "other" guys contracts could be packaged in a trade, but I can't really see anybody wanting to go to the Pels as of now. Zion and Ingram are too young to win, and it's not a very exciting big market either. Portland is kinda the same position - but already capped out. Dallas seemingly blew their offeason as well - all that money and and one Bullock to show for it...

I was surprised that Mikal was so high on this list. Click on 2pt% and Efg%

Yeah, his TS% and eFG% were insane. He has to be the best wing finisher, scorer, finishing fast breaks in the league too, at 79%. I believe he was over 80% earlier, in either a previous year or but still over 79% at the rim on 225 attempts...better than Ayton even (77%). Even Zion was only like 70%. Shooting splits https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/bridgmi01/shooting/2021

Then add the 42.5% from 3 he was one of the overall most efficient scorers in the league. Of course most of his baskets were assisted, but so were the other top wings like Joe Harris or Bojan, both of whom are not nearly as good at the rim (I'm guessing).

And he is slowly incorporating and getting better in the midrange and creating his own shot. So the more they can utilize him on offense, the more potent our offense will be...then add the defense. I still think many underrate him here.

That midrange shot he started to bring out towards the end of the season and in the playoffs is a thing of beauty. Almost impossible to defend with the length of his arms and when he fades slightly. The awesome thing is that he's always been a solid passer (career 2apg) and that's with him rarely having the ball in his hands to create shot opportunities. When he's able to create a little more and become a more potent midrange shooter, those passing opportunities are going to open up even more for him.

It would be cool if Mikal could have that Grant Hill mid range game. I think he could move up to an 18 pt/gm player if he gets the number of shots to do it.

Would be huge if he's averaging 15-16 ppg next year

I think it's definitely possible. I expect less scoring output from CP3 as the team looks to put more of that burden on the rest of the team. Ayton and Bridges are two guys who are in prime position to take those shots. My hope as well is that we play at a faster pace too which should bring even more benefit to Bridges by opening up more fast breaks, cutting and offensive opportunities against defenses that aren't fully set.

He's right though about Lebron. He's such a whiny petulant diva! I so look forward to us possibly knocking him out of the playoffs again this year!

Not based on anything other than my own senses, but I'd be very surprised if Kidd and Porzingis lasted long.

I think I've been reading too much Evan Sidery.
