Some amendments for the 2026 offseason/2026 draft picks:
Since the most keepers that will be kept is 11 (13th-16th place), I have decided to allow only picks from rounds 1-4 be traded. These are the only rounds that every team in the league participates in. BUT read this next part since it is super key:
For 2026 draft picks the plan now is to allow trading single draft picks, so you don't have to swap anymore. In yahoo just swap a your latest possible pick (I think it's like the 15th round, or, since we have 8 rounds total, just give any 9th round-15th round to signal this to me) to allow the trade to go through since yahoo only allows swaps. If you trade your 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, you'll still draft until you have 15 players in the 2026 FA draft, just after all the other (eight) rounds.
example: I want to trade my 2026 first to Qwigglez for idk Joel Embiid. Qwigglez then just trades me whatever latest pick is available on the yahoo trade screen (I think it's 15th round or something like that). In the 2026 draft Qwigglez would have my 1st and then after the 8th round I'd just pick a player to get to 15 roster size.
Rationale: We will have a different numbers of keepers for lots of teams in the 2026 offseason/draft. It makes no sense to continue allowing only pick swaps. Of course, you can still swap picks if you want. This change also makes 1st rounders (and 2nds somewhat) more valuable for rebuilding teams!
Small change to keepers: 2nd place in the standings (regular season) will now be grouped with 3rd/4th place to keep 8. Only 1st seed and champion will keep 7. This gives 2nd an extra asset to try and get over the hump.
