I'm happy for this Rockets outcome because despite how much I truly hate the idea of Giannis on the Spurs, this 10th pick outcome means that the Rockets now have very little chance of outbidding any of Brooklyn, OKC, or San Antonio for Giannis. And that tracs in our favor to then trade them KD as a consolation prize for our picks back and some young players and fillers too!

I was pissed about Dallas and SAS but as far as we are concerned, this was a great option. Houston has 0 chance at getting Giannis unless they gut their team.

If OKC can just go down to Denver, it's the perfect start for us.

Giannis to SAS while Houston and OKC battle it out for KD.

Well, Houston could say "Hey, we own two Suns unprotected picks. Look at the west..who has a better chance of being last in the west in 27 and 29 than the Suns?" and the Bucks would have to say "Damn, they got a good point there."

Kyrie
Naji Marshall / PJ Washington
Flagg
AD
Lively & Gafford

that is a solid team. They have a 2-3 year window, then build around Flagg! They will be fine.

Don't do what the suns do and try to get KD or Giannis there for Flagg, it will just cripple you for the next 5-10 years.

I think they trade Lively for Reaves.

Lakers need a center. Mavs have 2.

Suns need to trade Booker
I know it won't happen
But the west is going to be tough and Ishbia needs to get "back to life, back to reality, back to the here and now" because building around Booker will get you in NBA purgatory for the next decadce

Fun fact: For their careers, Booker and Beal have missed the playoffs more seasons than they have made it in.
And for six straight years Beal sits at least 25% of the season.

Such A material on the roster.

Booker should be able to move into 2nd all time for Suns losses by a player next year if he can stay healthy. He should move into third within a few games into the season.

Someone mentioned the only thing to watch for was Booker breaking Suns records. If he plays a few more years for the Suns, he will probably finish #1.

So he is owed $110m -- he can take a waive and stretch for $85m and never have to play again

And when, if he signs that 149/2 extension - he will be fine with it

Reaves is trash. He fits in a system with LeBron. I would not trade lovely for reaves at all, and it’s ok to have 2 centers

Just look at the West
OKC
Houston
San Antonio

Blazers are trending
Denver - as long as they have Joker
Dallas - if healthy

GSW -- they have a couple years with Curry
Lakers --

The Suns have a LONG way to go to relevancy - even getting the 10th seed

The Suns don't value picks because every draft they pass on All stars for role players they trade away and busts.

It boggles my mind how some fans still rationalize a way to believe the draft's not rigged.Too many coincidences, and they all revolve around LeBron James. He goes to Miami, the Cavs get compensated three #1 overall picks.Kevin Love gets traded to Cleveland, Minnesota gets the #1 overall pick.AD goes to the Lakers, NO gets awarded the #1 overall pick. Not only that, the league actually moved the Lakers all the way up to the #4 pick to sweeten the deal for NO.I believe the Lakers were slotted to draft 11th based on their record that yr.Coincindentally leaped into the top 5.Blatant.Luka goes to the Lakers, Dallas wins the #1 pick.

Another trend I've noticed, the NBA seems to have a soft spot for San Antonio & the 76ers.They've been trying to turn the Sixers into a major player for the last decade.Meanwhile, San Antonio is the league's international hub. They trust San Antonio with all the boy scouts & foreign prospects. The Spurs are a walking billboard for the global game.So while they're a "small market" based on demographics, they're a major player within the marketing/business model of the league.Been that way since the very early 2000's.Personally, I always felt like the Spurs got a great whistle those 7 Seconds Or Less era playoff battles.

But yep..Whenever there's a can't miss/"generational" prospect, things get fishy in the draft. You start seeing some "design"...The less favored teams like the Jazz/Suns/Charlotte only get "lucky" in the weaker drafts. While the 2018 draft seemed pretty deep, none of the guys were really seen as can't miss.People even questioned Luka's speed & athleticism. On top of that, Ayton was a hometown guy,so the league decided to toss the Suns a bone that year.

FWIW we HAD the number 1 pick and could have picked the generational player but instead chose the one who SAID on record he was in it for the money.

Ayton - same school as Bobby Sarver

Ayton - -looked the part of the franchise Center as the Suns never had a center

Luka -- Gambo said some things about him, almost like they were trying to lower his value

Booker wants to be on the suns books both salary and records... winning championships or even playoffs is like a bonus man.

Luka wasn't a surefire, can't miss prospect, tho. There was some doubts about his athleticism and how he'd adjust to the NBA.I'm talking about the guys where you just know they're going #1.Shaq, Tim Duncan, David Robinson, Wemby etc.Funny how lil ol San Antonio always seems to secure those guys.
