When you make a decision rooted in emotion, like Robert Sarver is about to do, you send the message that you have the capacity to let your heart/emotions win out. Not good for business. Not good for anyone.
This could also be the Suns only way of trying to generate the slightest shred of leverage in these trade negotiations. Sarver has a reputation for being volatile and stubborn, maybe they are using it to their advantage for once. The Suns are operating from a point of extreme weakness, if teams know they are desperate to trade him, the offers will reflect that.
Or I could be completely wrong...
