Okay, so your ideal scenario then was for us not to sign IT, for Goran to be happy here, and then to have him leave in the offseason for $20 million a year?

Because if you aren't happy paying Goran that much, then you shouldn't be bashing the FO for trading him for 2 firsts. Can't have it both ways.

Your trying too hard.

I didn't want the Suns to sign IT here regardless of anything that has to do with Dragic but even more so because he was having a good year. And hell, who knows maybe he would have even taken a discount to remain in PHX if we didn't get a bunch of other players who play his same exact position.

And I still don't think Dragic will get $20M/yr that a bunch of Internet forum posters think he will. Maybe his agent is throwing it out there but Goran imo will not get $20M/yr.

So what was the magic number then for Goran for you? Let's see if he hits it this offseason. Because I find it hilarious that a poster who doesn't want a certain player here for what he's likely going to get in FA throw such a tantrum on these boards when he's traded for multiple firsts, or for signing a player that makes said unwanted player unhappy.

You're simultaneously ripping the FO for signing a player that makes a guy you don't want to keep unhappy and then trading the guy you didn't want to keep.

If Goran gets close to $20 million, will you come back to apologize?

I was thinking that just now. OKC are still playing great with Westbrook playing at an MVP level so it's going to be super tough. But in the West, it's all about health and consistency. If we can find some consistency while other teams falter due to injuries or they see a drop off in production from their star player, we could sneak in. I still put our chances at less than 5% but it's not impossible.

Lol you seriously think those losses don't matter? After a season in which we missed playoffs by 1 game?

Every loss matters. Just like every win matters.

Meant it more as the Suns still have a chance to make the playoffs and those losses hurt but we are still there.

Both of our "competitors" for the last playoff spot had terrible luck with injuries. OKC is flat out better than us, and Pelicans are about even, but they have a superstar big, which translatest to more wins in this league.

Kanter trade was on the spot for Thunder. They can handle the situation with WB - Ibaka - Kanter i guess. But still we have a chance tho.

I can't agree with this. His more rounded than Dragic that's a given, offensively Dragic was a Juggernaut last year in terms of efficiency.

Also, I see a lot of people complaining about Knight Riders height, he looks Evey bit as tall as Jim butt.

lol

Anyone who watched him torch and screw over his old team for a chance at $100m should know that wasn't even remotely possible.

Whatever. I think everyone's has this argument like 2000 times over the past week, I'll leave it where it is. Much better things to do than go over this crap again.

I'm also really sick of people still throwing Sarver under the bus for virtually every bad move made by the front office. The last time I heard him having any say of anything when was he....oh I dunno signed a third team all NBA player. Since then I think he has been pretty much totally hands off.

As I've said before despite his previous short comings he's ALWAYS TRIED to keep the suns competitive as well as spending whatever it takes to make our roster better.
It doesn't matter that some of the signings didn't work out, the fact that he put out the money and the effort is what counts.
I like Rob, just like a rookie out of highschool he has grown so much since he first bought the team.

If KD becomes healthy before playoffs, their a dark horse team in the playoffs. Kanter will provide them with the low post scoring & rebounding they needed. Hell he's even shooting 3s this year.

I can't see them beating GSW but it should be a fun series.

Lol. This is the exact response I expected. What a cop out. And no, I said nothing of the sort in my post. I simply stated that if you didn't want to keep Dragic for what he is likely going to command in FA, then why do you care so much that the FO signed someone who upset him, resulting in Dragic getting traded for 2 firsts?

Pick a number. What is Dragic worth to you? Let's see if he gets above it. Put it on record.

I'm just sick of reading you claim that the FO was stupid for signing a player (IT) because it upset a player you didn't want to keep (Dragic) at the salary he likely will be getting. It's 2-sided and hypocritical.

Bucks lost at home to Atlanta that's probably why lol. Ennis is playing minutes for them though.

I counter your argument. What exactly has sarver done during his ownership that shows he has tried. Under his ownership, the Suns have LOST more talent than they have gained. You are falling for all of Sarvers lip service.

Difference between colangelo and Sarver. Colangelo walked the walked. Sarver talks the talk. Colangelo was all about action. Sarver is all about inaction.
I am such a lucky NBA fan. 8647 My favorite team went from the most greedy and racist owner to the most ego driven dumbass owner in all of sports fdt.

I didn't really liked the Knight deal, seamed like an overpay and don't know will he accept playing off the ball. One thing that is being overlooked though, and what makes losing that LAL 2016 pick look better is this tweet. Looks like 2016 will be one of the worst drafts in years. Anyway, your team is fun to watch, good luck

Funny how every draft has to be "one of the worst in history" or "one of the best ever". I guess something like "average draft" don't exist.

I didn't want us to keep Dragic if he's gonna cost $20M/yr. I have been clear of that.

And I was fine with trading Goran after he wanted out, I was more upset at the situation they created which the homers don't understand.

Can you elaborate about which situation you are talking about? That way the homers can understand

If Dragic is not getting 5 yrs/$100M after everything he and his agent pulled then it will go down in history as the worst decision EVER made by an All-NBA player. Phoenix has done the following in recent memory:

- didn't match Joe Johnson at his request. What organization has ever done this on the brink of a championship? ZERO
- attempted to trade Marion for Garnett on the brink of a championship; he then proceeds to **** the SUNS over and Celtics get
Garnett and win the title by beating Kobe/LAL*
- *instead traded Marion for an aging Shaq; I guess no love from players there either? Shaq was basically retired at that point
- let Amare walk for NOTHING on a max-contract because he wanted to play in a big market; then he gets bought out by the Knicks and says that the SUNS are not a play-off team (thanks Amare)
- traded two-time MVP Steve **** Nash to the Lakers our biggest rival within the same **** division; we got picks back that we then had to flip to Philly otherwise that trade for Knight would have never happened (Dragic forced our hand with his temper tantrum)
- bid against themselves for Bledsoe's contract and I don't care what Milwaukee said they would offer him. Where was the signed offer sheet?
- traded Dragic to the Miami Heat for basically two picks and cash/Granger; they could have made him sit for the rest of the season like most organizations that were put in the same position but instead got their ass chewed out and then STILL sent him to a team that he requested

I'm sorry but I cannot blame Sarver/McD/Babby for what happened above. I agree that selling picks was short-term thinking but that doesn't change that we have been treating players fairly since 2010. What else an we do as an organization to prove that we treat players with respect?
