And yet, you wanted us to keep Dragic, who we could've said the same about, and who would've cost even MORE at an older age.
I didn't want us to keep Dragic if he's gonna cost $20M/yr. I have been clear of that.
And I was fine with trading Goran after he wanted out, I was more upset at the situation they created which the homers don't understand.
Can you elaborate about which situation you are talking about? That way the homers can understand

Okay, so your ideal scenario then was for us not to sign IT, for Goran to be happy here, and then to have him leave in the offseason for $20 million a year?
Because if you aren't happy paying Goran that much, then you shouldn't be bashing the FO for trading him for 2 firsts. Can't have it both ways.
Your trying too hard.
I didn't want the Suns to sign IT here regardless of anything that has to do with Dragic but even more so because he was having a good year. And hell, who knows maybe he would have even taken a discount to remain in PHX if we didn't get a bunch of other players who play his same exact position.
And I still don't think Dragic will get $20M/yr that a bunch of Internet forum posters think he will. Maybe his agent is throwing it out there but Goran imo will not get $20M/yr.
If Dragic is not getting 5 yrs/$100M after everything he and his agent pulled then it will go down in history as the worst decision EVER made by an All-NBA player. Phoenix has done the following in recent memory:
- didn't match Joe Johnson at his request. What organization has ever done this on the brink of a championship? ZERO
- attempted to trade Marion for Garnett on the brink of a championship; he then proceeds to **** the SUNS over and Celtics get
Garnett and win the title by beating Kobe/LAL*
- *instead traded Marion for an aging Shaq; I guess no love from players there either? Shaq was basically retired at that point
- let Amare walk for NOTHING on a max-contract because he wanted to play in a big market; then he gets bought out by the Knicks and says that the SUNS are not a play-off team (thanks Amare)
- traded two-time
MVP Steve **** Nash to the Lakers our biggest rival within the same **** division; we got picks back that we then had to flip to Philly otherwise that trade for Knight would have never happened (Dragic forced our hand with his temper tantrum)
- bid against themselves for Bledsoe's contract and I don't care what Milwaukee said they would offer him. Where was the signed offer sheet?
- traded Dragic to the Miami Heat for basically two picks and cash/Granger; they could have made him sit for the rest of the season like most organizations that were put in the same position but instead got their ass chewed out and then STILL sent him to a team that he requested
I'm sorry but I cannot blame Sarver/McD/Babby for what happened above. I agree that selling picks was short-term thinking but that doesn't change that we have been treating players fairly since 2010. What else an we do as an organization to prove that we treat players with respect?
