I'm glad we got to do this. This last few days was probably the most fun we've had since 2013-14 and the most we will have for another two years.

Can we change the photoshop banner to feature Jordan Hill in a Suns jersey or too late?

Didn't picking up Chandler make Granger redundant? Tyson provides the leadership that Granger would, but also provides interior defense and rebounding that Granger would not. Plus moving both Marcus and Granger gives room for Warren to get minutes, isn't that what you want?

4th of July has not been a good day in recent years for Suns fans....first sign and trading Steve Nash to the Lakers and now LMA choosing the Spurs over the Suns....

Trade for Lee and sign Hill or Biyombo & mo Williams for bench

Knight - Mo Will
Bledsoe - Goodwin - Booker
Tucker - Warren
Lee - Hill or Biyombo - Luer
Chandler - Len

This is your Phx Suns. 6-8th seed

I didn't realize there was only need for one leadership role per team.

Suns should definitely look into trading for David Lee. Do a three team trade. Markieff goes to some team, Lee goes to Phoenix, and Golden State clears cap space. Lee looked really good in the finals. Then sign Amare to back up David Lee.

Bit OT: But I can't believe this was 3 years ago. This photo always gets me, especially the "CORNERSTONE" part

Wouldn't be a bad thing if they got Looney out of it. Otherwise, nope.

Exactly. Have to include Looney and/or a future 1st.

I am completely okay with not getting LA. He would have been fun to have but it wasn't going to be the jump to contention. Chandler is still one of the better centers out there. Plus him playing in PHX will only lengthen his career. He brings much needed leadership. He knows how to win. And he'll improve our ace in the hole (Len).

The Detroit trade is still a good trade. It would have been nice to hang on to Bullock but he isn't a must have. Getting rid of Mook was huge in the overall structure of the team. The way our rotations are looking now have me pretty excited.
Bledsoe/Knight/Ish?
Knight/Goodwin/Booker
Warren/Tucker/GGreen?
Kief/Len/Leur
Len/Chandler (still not sure who I want starting)

That's a young, exciting team that will run the floor and score a lot of points, also we have a few guys who will be able to anchor our defense. My outlook on the west is pretty positive for our chances. Teams like Portland and LAC got quite a bit worse. Also I think teams like SAS and DAL will take steps back. I think age catches up with the Spurs and I don't think Dallas will be able to score a lot of points with their offense based around an aging Dirk, inept Jordan, and streaky Matthews and Parsons. OKC will be back in the hunt and the Jazz should be okay. I'd rank the teams.
1.Warriors
2.OKC
3.Hou
4.MEM
5.SAS
6.PHX
7.LAC
8.NO
9.DAL
10.Utah
11.Min
12.Sac
13.Por
14.Den
15.LAL

It's going to be a great year of basketball!

As emotionally satisfying it is to know Marcus is gone, the fact that we got next to nothing for a decent NBA contributor (.093 WS/48 was fourth on the team last year) now looks a bit bad. And I realize he may have been hard to trade because of the charges, but we always could have waited for the verdict.

NO! Getting Lee is fine. Trading Lee for Markieff is a giant downgrade to our future.

Who said there was? Are you implying it would be better to give minutes to Granger instead of Warren? Funny that you bypass the rebounding and interior defense. I know, it was all you had. It must be rough hating the team you are supposedly a fan of.

So we gonna sign The Gerald back now? Three years, 15 million or something similar?

Biyombo to Toronto. Not that I think he was a target but this FA class is moving quite fast, and I hope the Suns don't fall behind.

How else would they get Lee. He makes 15 million dollars next season. Markieff makes 8 million. After the trade with Detroit, the Suns have 20 million in cap space. Chandler takes 13 of that 20. That leaves over 7 million. 8 + 7 = 15. So the Suns trade out 8 million with Markieff and get back Lee's 15 million. It is the only way it can happen.

Hahaha, wut? My initial point had zero to do with Chandler. Or Warren. Zero. You said, "Didn't picking up Chandler make Granger redundant? " If Granger was going to help the team with leadership, then he would help with or without Chandler. How signing a center makes Granger redundant is confusing.
