Are Suns able to go after Lonzo Ball if he gets bought out? I assume just the minimum.

Can't sign buyouts or waives that previously made over 12.2 or something I thought?!?!

Does it have to match dollar for dollar and if so could we ship out the 2028 second draft pick along with Beal? Not that I would do it just thinking hypothetically.

Dollar for dollar or less

Couldn't we just give Beal a raise? I'm sure he wouldn't mind.

I think it's possible (I read it's possible on the 3rd anniversary of a player's contract) but to pay him a bit extra just to move him to a team that is likely going to suck means he's probably going to get that pay bump and then veto any trades.

Well obviously this can only help our team's chemistry and cohesion right?? I mean KD consistently working out with a bunch of other players that are on other teams instead of working out with players on his own team should definitely help them become more familiar with each other and build better unity and camaraderie too................. right?? :-?

Nope! Because Ball made over 20 million last season contractually, and we can't sign anyone that made 12 million or over that as a 2nd apron team.

If Gordon's really outta here! Give me any of Cam Spencer, Blake hinson, Mantas Rubstavicius, or Moses Wood ( 6'8 jumbo wing 3 point assassin).

Or in free agency on a vet minimum, any of Joe Harris, Daniel House, Vincent Valerio Bodon, Landers Nolley, or even Joe Weiskamp. All very good to great shooters!

If Gordon is out gimme KJ Martin and Max Christie. Two young guys who are hungry to prove themselves in the NBA.

Honeslty, I think we should have a good hard look at German prospect Armin Meiwes. There's some dietary issues surrounding him, but nothing too concerning. Peruvian prospect Inca Orchid is another one I'm keeping a close eye on.

Not sure about those two guys...other than hungry you have to be very good at basketball to be a rotation player for a playoff team.

I have always been an Eric Gordon fan but I recognize that he had a mediocre year at best for us.

I think he played well in the first half of the season and he was doing his job nicely, but he was injured or playing strictly bad most of the second part of the season and he was a non factor in the playoffs.

All in all I think it will be tough to get a better player than him on a minimum contract. I would prefer to have him on the team next year. Yeah, I know that he is superold and he will probably be worse next year but even taking that into consideration is gonna be tough to replace him with a similar/better player. We will see.

I'm not sure that applies in the offseason. But if not, we def need to make a run at him.

What if no other team wanted him? He can't be employed by a team because of this rule. Sucks for the player.

I was hoping Gordon would pickup his player option as I think he'd be a very easy contract to move for a 2nd or 2.

I always thought Gordon and Allen was redundant.

Jones only gives picks away. I wouldn't count on that.
