There's gonna be blood all over the place by the time this series is over...

I agree with limiting Barbs' playtime in this series, he always has a mental block when going up against Manu.

If Lopez can play, then just go to the single cover with him on TD. Hill on Parker and JRich on Ginosebili.

Let's go Suns!

Avenge the spirits of Raja, Shawn, Kurt, Boris, James Jones, Zarko, Jim Jackson, Joe Johnson, Steven Hunter, Jake Voskuhl, Googs, Penny, Stephon, Big Jake....and anybody else who has been WRONGED by the Spurs over the last decade.

This is for them. This is for us.

Wow I hate to admit this... but this is exactly what I told my buddies tonight after the win.

They've beat us what, the last 3 times in the Nash era?

It would look good on Nash's HOF resume if he could finally get past the Spurs this round, even if it didn't result in ring(hopes it will).

Completely different roster. We have a coach that doesn't believe in the same philosophy of "If it's broken, I'll keep trying to use it until it works." Suns have lost four straight series against the Spurs, it's time for a change. We should be fully healthy, so no excuses this time. We have a chance to do something special this year.
Keys to the series: Contain the Spurs role players. We cannot let guys like McDyess, Hill, Mason, Bonner, Blair, Bogans have any type of impact on the court. If Duncan, Parker, Ginobli, Jefferson beat us that is fine, but I doubt they can do it alone. We have to stop Hill, he has been ballin out of his mind the past few games. Lopez is going to be huge. Duncan is going to see maybe five guys defending him (Lopez, Collins, Frye, Amare, Jones). In the past, the Spurs had the philosophy to only let Nash and Amare beat us, and it worked for them. But now, we have Richardson, and a whole group of guys who can step it up and bring it. I think we have what it takes to beat them this year. What a series this is going to be.

I'm going to be full of melodramatic **** this whole series, so get ready.

Beating the Spurs will be an emotional and mental burden alleviated not only for the team but for MYSELF.

Kind of ridiculous that I still have to do this, but don't make a douche out of yourself(and your fellow fans) by trolling. You know who you are in particular, but this goes as a general warning to everyone who wants to contribute to this community(visiting Spurs fans included). Smack talk=fine. Trolling=hell no.

Let the games begin.

I'm fully expecting an injury to happen somehow.

I'm fully expecting Horry, Barry, Bowen, or some other unsavory ghost from Spurs past to suit up SOMEHOW.

Main advantages for us compared to previous years are that :

1)Bowen won't be around to limit Nash and knee his nuts anymore this time. Horry's gone too.

2)If Lopez comes back and manages to play at the level he was playing at right before he got injured then it'll be the first time since Kurt Thomas got traded that we've got capable post defender with legit size on the roster to put on TD.

3)Dragic gives us a nice backup guard alternative to Barbosa (who always struggles vs the Spurs) with his very different skillset and mindset.

Main advantages for the Spurs are :

1) Povovich/Duncan/Parker/Manu is a deadly postseason combo that always figured out ways to beat us in the past.

2) Impressive performances despite their young age by George Hill and Blair.

3) They just eliminated a Mavs team that they usually have issues matching up against.

Will be interesting to see how Gentry adjusts to what Popovich will throw him, gonna be by far the biggest coaching test of his career so far...

I don't even know what to say about this series...

I'm so happy/sad right now. My emotions are fluctuating more than a women when she likes to put dots on her head and not feathers!

Man, A LOT of haters and non-believers.

Then again a lot of those same guys had us not making playoffs at all this season.

Umm no, his no defense vision is what held us back.

Most overrated clown coaching a team ever.
