If they were in the same class Wiggins would easily be rated higher than Shabazz(and Noel), as would Parker.

At the same age Wiggins is a better prospect but it's very close. One thing people overlook about Shabazz is his physicality. He's nearly 225 built like a rock with a massive wingspan. A lot of young wings struggle with strength for a year or two because they're playing against grown men. He uses his body very well which doesn't get seen in HS all star game type events. I was glad he went to UCLA over Kentuck and Duke because he'll show off his halfcourt game more under Howland and that part of his game gets critized most. A lot of people look at him like most HS scoring wings, only dominant in the open floor because they're just bigger and faster than other teenagers. Him game is more complete than people give him credit for. I think fans tend to overrate flaws of phenoms because they've been stars since middle school.

I really hope Wiggins reclassifies. Him playing in HS for two more years is the equivalent of Kevin Durant playing two years in college. It doesn't make any sense, you have to put these elite prospects against better competition earlier.

I like the Noel kid. Gamechanger.

I saw on the clip earlier that Noel averaged 14/11/6 blocks this past season in high school. Anyone know if that's accurate? Those numbers seem pretty low.

I really like Adams. It says he's humble, very coachable and a hard worker on top of being big, mobile and strong with nice hands. NBAdraft.net has him listed at 9/10 in size, athleticism, defense, rebounding and potential (and they dont hand out 9s everywhere). If we get this guy and he learns to shoot free throws the sky is the limit. Not to mention he is from New Zealand so he will have a cool accent.

And as good as Noel looks he's probably going to go first or second so I don't see us being within reach of getting him short of a draft lottery miracle.

He had the following dialog with a reporter that indicates he poses all 3 traits:

Reporter: Do you like to practice hard?

Adams: I like to, but I don't always, sometimes I need a boot up my bum.

A lot of guys who would get asked that question would just say they're hard workers, whether it's true or not.

If Adams comes out it will likely be because he had a really strong year and is a top 3 or at least a top 5 pick(guys with his measurables often go top 5 regardless unless they have a terrible year). I don't think Noel is really the high level NBA prospect people portray him to be, at least not yet. He blocks a lot of shots but gives up positioning a lot of the time going for the block and he really doesn't have any offense.

I don't like Noel, but if he plays well next year and earns himself a top3 pick, and we're there, we've got to grab him, trade Gortat for another pick, and you've got yourself a pretty nice frontcourt already.

He is a perfect fit next to Beasley or Morris.

I don't like Noel. Seems too skinny and not that strong or 'driven' like Adams is

Adams will be a Tyson Chandler type right off the bat and the improvement he's shown with a slight uptick in coaching is incredible. He WANTS to be great and works at it - his sister Valerie is competing for us at the Olympics, she's a big unit but is also very humble and a tireless worker at her trade

He flat out DOMINATED at that Adidas camp last year:

http://www.cardiachill.com/2011/8/7/235 ... h-panthers

On the local front, Adams is in Los Angeles and had a dominant two-day effort at the recent Adidas Nations camp. On the first day, Adams' 12-point 20-rebound effort opened some eyeballs, but it was on the second day that he had perhaps the best outing of the event thus far. Following his strong Day 1 performance, Adams dropped 37 points and 18 rebounds on a 2013 Team USA squad.

He's like a deer in the headlights in this interview, but again it reinforces that he is humbled and grounded

With Dixon, fresh usually don't get a lot time of play, so I don't expect Adams to bright and declare right away, maybe for 2014 draft.

We'll be in the 5-10 range right now I think, there I'd like to grab Archie Goodwin, the uy is amazing, he can be really good in the pros as well, 6'5 SG with elite athleticism and speed, he's a pure slasher, can defend, he could be a superb fit next to Beasley-Dragic.

I agree also that the Suns will probably be in the 5-10 pick range. The beauty of that is have alot of assets to try to trade up a few spots to grab the right guy we want. Any team in the top 5 who feels the guy they want will still be on the board a couple picks later would happily trade down to get some additional draft picks. It happens all the time. I wish we could just fast forward 11 months.

I`m curious to see how Archie Goodwin and Steven Adams will look like at `Tucky and Pitt. I wouldn`t be surprised if one (or both, if we trade Gortat) of them become the Sun come next June.

Is anyone else concerned with just hwo terrible next years draft looks? Shabazz looks good but is not AMAZING. From what I am seeing, Cody Zeller is projected to go #1? I watched his video and he looks serviceable at best.

Tanking is not the answer here.

I'm not really concerned, but by most accounts it's going to be extremely weak, outside of the top few picks, but who even really knows how good those picks will turn out. Banking on getting a high pick in the draft and hoping they luck out in the lottery and that the pick does pan out, isn't the way to try to build a team. Has it worked out for one or two teams in the past? Sure. Has it not worked out for a great deal more teams? Absolutely. As Babby said in a press conference a couple of weeks ago...our motto is "Hope is not a plan."

After the top 5 it's suppose to be very weak I think maybe their might be a couple of surprises and a lot of upside but if a team is from 7-30 I think they should trade out for next year especially if Wiggins reclassifies Wiggins, Parker, Randle, the Harrison twins, Kasey Hill, Aaron Gordon and a lot of others.

god I hope Steven Adams pans out...he's our last hope...Sean Marks can only take NZ basketball so far haha. I think he can get there, just needs to work on a go to move and some secondary moves - he's already got the rebounding/box out/shot blocking down already, and he has legit size and isn't one of those skinny Noel types who will have 'needs to add bulk' next to every scouting report...

we did have Mark Dickel running UNLV and leading Div I in assists one year though...good times...Kirk Penney can still ball as well
