How about waiting for a yr in college before we dub them hall of famers as well.

This is the key. I think the realistic one's here realize that these might not be the guys we want come next June but it is fun to speculate and follow people throughout the year.

Also, I agree that Parker should be our choice if we are #2. (As of right now).

I have to wait and see them play at the college level. I don't put too much stock into high school tapes. Just about ANYONE who goes to play for a major college program, especially a top tier one is going to look like a stud in high school.

I mean, Michael Beasley even looked like a stud in college in a major conference.

These guys all still have a lot to prove.

Marcus Smart may dominate college this year and have a lot to say about who goes in the top 3.

Great kid. I like his skill level, IQ and desire to get better.

I hope he is `one and done` at Duke, I read somewhere he isn`t sure if he is entering draft next year.

He needs to develop his jumper if he wants to be good in this league, I bet that in 30 years from now no one will remember who Blake Griffin is.

People still remember Harold "Baby Jordan" Miner... they will remember Blake, flashy play goes along way in the minds of the masses.

I'll sign up for the #3 pick and Julius Randle right now. The way he can move at 245 lbs is special and he's still only 18. So much upside.

As long as whoever we end up drafting is not an unlikable punk and is someone who has an unstoppable work ethic, that's all that matters to me.

You seriously can't think of an example of an unlikable punk? There are plenty to choose from.

Right now I think only Utah and Philly will out tank Phoenix, unless you stick to Gortat, Scola and Dragic the whole season, then maybe Sacramento, Orlando and Charlotte could be worse too.

There is 4 players and then a big gap in my opinion, even I'd say a top3, then 1 guy, Smart, and then a gap.

Wiggins, Parker, Randle will be my top3, without question.
Then Smart, then a group of guys, Harris, Robinson III, Young, Harrison, Cauley-Stein, Carson, Hezonja, Saric, Christon, Austin, Sulaimon, Poythress, McGary, Harrell... that's pretty even.

I don't see how Gordon, Selden, Embiid, Dakari, Exum, declare this year, they are either too raw, Gordon is just clumsy right now, I love his effort and IQ, but his footwork is beyond awful at this point and he has no shot, or will be overshadowed, Selden by Wiggins, Embiid won't start, Dakari won't start, Exum will go to college most likely...

Don't know about Kasey Hill, he maybe decide to make the jump since he's old for his class, Chris Walker definetely should stay at least 2 years, potential is great, but the guy is just raw.

So, since you probably won't look for a PG/SG, you need somehow to get a top3 pick to get a succesful draft, or at least it looks like it.

I agree on Gordon ive only seen him a few times and was impressed with his motor and energy but he wants to be a 3 in the pros and i wasnt impressed wit hhis permeter skills at all..weak dribble a little clumsy and cant shoot very well..

As far as pg's i like Harrison a little mroe then Smart.i love Smarts intangibles but his shot is broke

My fav PG is by far my man Jahii, but he'll get labeled as too small, and his shot is shaky too.
I don't like AnHarrison body language, and he's a ball hogger, he loves himself some heroball too, reminds me too much of Starbury.
I like his brother better actually, he has size, offtheball skills,... but he won't get a lot of touches in UK next year.

5-6 guys from UK could be 1st rounders, I'm not sure how many will declare, unless something strange happens, I guess both Harrisons, Randle and WCS will be in, I have doubts with Poythress and Young, it'll depend on how the season goes.

It's incredible the depth chart Calipari already has for the 14-15 season,

Hawkins

Hood
Lee-Willis
Johnson-Towns
+Poythress/Young if one of them, or both stays
+whatever 5stars he grab

Potential best interior players for the 14-15, and he is not done recruiting by any means, just amazing

You like Harrison more than Smart? I don't really know how you can compare a guy who has only played against HS competition to a guy who already was a stud at the college level. I think we need to see how these guys play in college before saying they are better players than guys who have brought it at the college level. Some of these guys could be complete busts once they face real competition.

Fair point i was just goign by skillset more then anything else. They both have great size and vision but i think Harrisons a better offensive player

7'9" wing span? That's the same as Rudy Gobert, supposedly the longest ever measured in the NBA.
