The premise is a one year out so he can look at NYK next year. I do not believe there is any thing to this. I do not believe Miami will go down that path, because it is only delaying the inevitable rebuild with Lebron bolting the Heat because it is not competitive for a championship.

Do you think the Suns would do such a contact? Knowing you might only have him for a year?

I wouldn't do a sign ad trade. Meaning assets - especially Goodwin or Len or draft picks. Maybe the Morris as they are expiring next summer anyway. But yes, I would take my chances. But would prefer two and option in year 3

The Stein report about the Heat lowering their expectations - still not sure that is enough to beat the West. Anthony Morrow?

Bobbi - there would not need to be a sign and trade for this. The Suns have the room and this would be an outright signing at the max. One year guaranteed with an option for a second. Suns get to keep all their players (except maybe Tucker). Do you do it?

Morrow is like a slight improvement over James Jones.
So they are basically where they were even if the big 3 didn't opt out. Minimum players.

Frankly, I think it's pathetic that teams are basically ceding control to players in the NBA.

In no other sport do the inmates run the asylum. It's a big reason why the NBA is not *nearly* as likable as it was even 10 years ago.

Oh hell yes!! Dare to be great and if you can get the best player on the planet - the Suns would be a better team. I mean, hard to quantify how much of last years chemistry would translate next yea with wins just by adding LeBron as you cannot just say 48 wins becomes X.. But players like Green, Bledsoe, Plumlee, the Morri - probably get better. Alex Len too.

LeBron demands the double team
LeBron can be your go too scorer
LeBron would have Dragic and Bledsoe and either Ish or Ennis to carry the ball duties
I am sure Hornacek could limit his minutes 34ish

In a heartbeat!!

i identify more with the players than with the owners, personally.

it would be one thing if i felt like the team belonged to the fans, but after the last lockout i felt like the owners were the bad guys. so i dont mind the players having so much influence at all.

Just make a decision already Lebron. I'm tired of all this. I feel like Jennifer Love Hewitt.

If we land LeBron, I'd so much rather Pau stay out of the hands of the Spurs/OKC.

Is Stein just out there speculating out of his @$$ and getting paid by ESPN?

Agreed . If Pau wants to win - he goes to OKC

If he wants to get paid - he goes to LA

If he wants to live the nightlife of the city that never sleeps - he goes to NYC.

But they're the owners. Management manages. Players play. If LeBron wants to be a GM, let him retire and be one. Teams shouldn't be held hostage by players.

Agreed about Marc Stein.
I wasn't around for the last 6-7 pages of the last thread, what's up with our Dragon? Everyone trying to steal em and ish. Did we create that rumor or is there any truth to it? I'd trade Bledsoe/Warren for Paul George, but I'm not giving up the Dragon. David West would be super excited lol.

Basically Indy called to check if it was possible we probably laughed and hung up. Then someone suggested a 3 team with us netting Rando but again that makes no sense.

Also was some talk of this could be a 3 team deal to net us Love.

There's nothing the Pacers have that we would want except for George who they won't trade.

I don't even think Dragic would be a good fit in their super slow offense.

With the talk that Melo is likely going back to NY, I'm not so confident about landing LeBron anymore. Perhaps if we can snag Love...

If we could land Lebron, the world is our oyster, and we could sign anyone we wanted, including Carmelo.

I dont agree that LeBron was ever contingent on landing Melo. That was media conjecture. Yes, the Suns have ammunition left to go after other FA's after signing LBJ and they COULD make room for Melo, but the fact that they would do so was purely media conjecture. The Suns aren't really interested in Melo anyway, unless it was a demand LeBron had. I'm sure if LBJ said "Get Melo and we'll be in business" the Suns could have at least gotten a meeting with Anthony.

No! We need positive thoughts!

But really, if LeBron was hellbent on playing with Melo, he would have told Melo by now. He'd also say, "There's a team out there with a stellar backcourt that is capable of giving us both max deals with minimal moves." The Suns most likely heard a positive response after contacting LeBron/his agent (or else we'd be signing other free agents by now). That means that LeBron is at least considering playing for us. And if him joining the Suns hinged on Melo singing here, he'd let it be known to Melo who would most likely follow LeBron to the desert. Heck, LeBron might think we have enough even without Melo. Or he could want Bosh here. But bottom line: if LeBron wants Melo in the Valley of the Sun, he'll make it so.

Why is that? I think the talk of signing LeBron and Carmelo was just speculation. The fact that we could sign LeBron to a max deal, as well as any other major FA, is more what the story was about. I still think signing LeBron and Bosh makes way more sense than LeBron and Carmelo. LeBron at SF and Bosh at PF on this current Suns' roster would be very good indeed. I just am not sure that Carmelo and LeBron playing on the same team would have the affect everyone seems to think it would. Maybe I'm wrong.

We'd have to snag Love.
Here's a three team trade.
Suns get-
Kevin Love

Wolves get-
Roy Hibbert
Markieff Morris
Marcus Morris
Luis Scola
Lakers 2015 1st

Pacers get-
Goran Dragic
Nikola Pekovic

I would only do this if Lebron said I will go to Phoenix if Kevin Love is there.

Return to Phoenix Suns
