These 3 guys (one of them a Suns fan) push out a lot of pretty good NBA podcasts. It's a little rough around the edges...they're young, but some of you will find it worthy of your time. They voice some good NBA fan takes. Second level, but not bad.

Simmons' one is now online.

I skipped a lot of the stuff I don't like but it's good to have him back online again!

He's already criticising ESPN like Mike and Mike, Goodell etc...

Simmons has been doing his over/under...Suns were 36.5 I think and they both said we're better than that

Well worth a listen!

I just noticed Simmons actually wrote an article today...this maybe belongs in the media thread, but I thought it would be good to give this thread a bump in case anyone has heard any good podcasts as of late.

I loved the Suns mention in the Joe House podcast, but the Michael Rapaport pod is HILARIOUS! Probably one of the best pods I've ever heard. (Don't listen with your kids.) Make sure you listen through to the story about Burgess Meredith, the world class stick man: https://soundcloud.com/the-bill-simmons-podcast/ep-23-michael-rapaport-1

Cosign this one. I was dying listening to this episode. I really enjoyed Bill's take on Kareem too.

Zach Lowe is back on the air, thank the gods. Zach Lowe and David Thorpe. Here's the description of this episode:

Zach talks to David Thorpe of ESPN.com about Houston firing Kevin McHale, Steph Curry's hot start, the Pistons, Jahlil Okafor, and more.

Any mention of the Suns?
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Just started Eddie Johnson's new podcast.

Couldn't last 10 minutes with the audio quality. I hope he fixes it because it could be a really good podcast.

I didn't know much about this Haralabos guy, but his wiki says

Haralabos "Bob" Voulgaris (born 1975) is a Greek Canadian professional gambler, sports bettor, and sports book owner.[1] He is considered the most successful NBA sports bettor in history with approximately a 70% win rate.[2][3]
Voulgaris started betting on the NBA in the late 1990s. By the time he was 25 he had amassed a fortune and was regularly placing $1,000,000 in bets during a single day of NBA games. He made millions exploiting his edge of observing game-management tendencies by three head coaches, Eddie Jordan, Jerry Sloan, and Byron Scott.[2]

Interesting.

Anyone listened to Chris Mannix's "Open Floor" on SI.com?

About to DL it - has Hornacek mentioned in it, not sure if he's talking or they're talking about him.

And yeah just search The Lowe Post - still has Grantland logo but he's posting them to ESPN and that pod link via iTunes

not sure where to put this thought, but an interesting thing just happened. usually, Ryan McDonough comes on Burns and Gambo every Wednesday and gives his thoughts on the previous week of games, or any notable Suns developments that happened that week. i've been listening the last two seasons, and to my knowledge he's only missed a week when he's been on the road with the team, which i think happened only once last year.

today, he wasn't on the show. instead, Lon Babby gave his thoughts on the Suns' season, which is definitely worth a listen. (http://arizonasports.com/player/?a=317090). Lon's always got some supportive yet honest things to say.

the reason Burns (or Gambo? don't know who's who yet) gave that McD couldn't be on the show was that he had to do some "international scouting." i could believe that, but what i know is that we signed Bryce Cotton today. he isn't international at all.

Lon said something to the effect that Brandon and Eric were still figuring out how to get the ball to Tyson Chandler. i could believe that, too. what i believe is that this is a complicated offense with a lot of pieces, and it'll take more than a month for it to work to its potential. i'll easily give this team more time to find themselves, although i am much happier with the results than at any time last year. unlike last year, this is something i don't think will break down due to a vacuum of defense. this is sustainable....at some point.

i feel a trade coming on. now, McD is awfully difficult to predict. the only thing i remember for sure is that during his very first press conference, i had a feeling that he was set on trading Marcin Gortat. or maybe somebody else. i don't remember. i foresee............a minor move between us and a borderline Eastern Conference playoff team. we receive someone who is in his third year or later. .....might involve trading something as insignificant as a second round pick............vision is fading. vision is over.

for example - before we went after LaMarcus Aldridge, Doug and Wolf asked him if he loved the stretch four position, if he loved this or that, in an effort to find out if we were going after Kevin Love. McD responded, "maybe we'll be able to have a conversation like that in a couple of days." i do believe it is possible to read McD's actions and words....

Most interesting thing I've heard all day:

Bill Simmons - 26:44, "First of all, (Jerry) Colangelo's been trying to get back in the league for a couple years. He was trying to put a group together to buy the Suns back from Sarver, and he wanted back in. He's 76, he wanted back in."

Wowzers.
