We should trade away our number one pick for a real basketball player with experience between the ages of 26-28. Or alternatively, we can pick a player in this draft and pray that they pan out in three to four years.

He's somewhat like Barkley, though maybe not as good as passer or rebounder. Rebounding was one of Barkley's best qualities, especially at his height. Not sure how Barkley would fit in this era though. He'd need to defend and/or shoot well. He did neither that well.

I'm surprised at the love for Cam Reddish and the little love for RJ Barret. I feel that in 8 months, Barrett will be the consenuous number 1 pick and that Reddish will fall a little.

Don't worry, I will be watching many Duke games this year and I will be providing my thoughts on them in the NBA after watching 20+ games of them. All speculation for now

Oh, I think Barrett's the clear #1. But he's mostly a scorer/slasher 3. Weaknesses are off ball D and passing. Not sure that skillset is what we need.

We will see how these guys play at Duke (and Little at NC). I just like the profile of Reddish a bit better being a potential lead ball handler and floor spacer, with versatile defense...he's also the tallest and longest of the guys...could likely play 4.

I just like Reddish's NBA potential more. I think Barrett will be your leading scorer and probably go #1. Barrett is Nash's godson btw. His dad was on the national team.

I don't really have an opinion on Zion yet other than he's a unique player because of his weight athleticism combo.

I'd rather have Reddish, Langford, Barrett, Wilkes, or Hunter over JJ.

Jalen Lecque is considering forgoing college and entering the 2019 draft. He's a fifth year HS senior. He might have the highest upside of the PG prospects.

#10 Michigan St at #1 Kansas on ESPN - 5PM MST

#4 Duke at #2 Kentucky on ESPN - 7:30 PM MST

Too bad those top Duke prospects overlap with the Suns game. Be nice if it was on a different night.

Could be, though I would suggest checking out this guy

6'3" PG from Latvia, currently plays in Spain for Joventut (getting more time in 2nd division with Prat though) and looks like taller Trae Young or skinny Steve Nash. This guy has terrific BBIQ, great passer with unlimited range and great handles. The guy is a leader and a team first player, but has the ability and willingness to take over when needed. He proved that plenty playing in European championship for U18 national team this summer where he averaged 19 PPG with 6 AST and 2 STL shooting over 50% inside the arc and 44% from 3.
He's not a great leaper and lacks strength, but super skilled, smart and has that killer instinct. Strength is going to get fixed quickly at the NBA level and if he declares, could be the PG with biggest potential out there.

I like this Latvian kid more than Lecque. Lecque probably has higher upside because of his physical profile and athleticism but his shot is still a working progress, his passing is still not where it needs to be for the PG position and I'm not sure how well he can play off ball. Zagars seems way more polished, he can shoot, he can pass and he's got a nice size frame that just needs to add muscle but that will come with time.

Zagars isn't going to declare, the only international players with 1st round type upside are Sekou, Deividas Sirvydis, Samanic and maybe Paul Eboua if he flashes enough in pvt workouts

I think Quentin Grimes could convert into a Jamal Murray-type PG. He looked good last night. Main weakness is FT shooting but he has a nice stroke.

Gimme some Zion!!!

Next LeBron James? Warriors coach Steve Kerr compares Duke's Zion Williamson to Lakers star

https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nba/warriors/2018/11/08/lebron-james-zion-williamson-steve-kerr/1928000002/

In response to a question about Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kerr instead went out of his way to heap praise on another athletically-gifted player — Williamson — without mentioning him by name.

"No, but I saw some kid on Duke last night who is pretty impressive," Kerr told reporters. "My goodness."

"I thought LeBron, I thought that was a one-shot deal, but apparently the next guy’s coming," Kerr continued. "And before I get fined, I’m going to change the subject."

Rev up the TANK!!!
