Lot of talk about the suns getting in on three way AD trades on Bill Simmons recent podcast. Same stuff we have been discussing for months but good to hear national media speculate about trades we are hoping for.

Re: 2019 free agency and trade ideas: Chapter 2 A Guardian Forward
I'm excited to see what the Pelicans do this offseason. They'll have a great jump start to their rebuild with Zion and their return for trading AD, and Holiday would fetch a nice package if they move on from him too. They're in good hands with Griff.
I love the idea and fit of a Draymond Green-type for this team, but I don't think the real Draymond would work out. Too much money at this point in his career for a guy whose skillset is highlighted by playing with 3 of the best offensive players in the league. Probably too much attitude for a team that's more in the growing phase too. Plus, imagine how many technical fouls he'd have with the way he complains and the way we tend to be officiated lol.

I would be interested in Green... wasn’t interested earlier this season, but he got himself back into shape and has been playing well. I would trade Tyler + #6 if that’s all it took and he was interested in coming here
0 chance server signs off on him and Klutch though
I'd imagine they'd want Bridges too. Would that be a deal breaker for everyone? Provided Klutch and Sarver can work together and do a new deal for Draymond. He would fit pretty well next Ayton.
I doubt anyone around here would even trade Bridges for holiday.
Also green is a FA next season and we will have cap space so... no
I'm expecting Bridges to make a big leap offensively this year. He will be the best two way player on the team. Definitely not trading him when we are weak defensively with Booker and Ayton

He brought up 6 for DLo but forgot the little bothersome detail that the draft happens 10 days before free agency.Crives wrote:BobbieL wrote:Crives wrote:Lot of talk about the suns getting in on three way AD trades on Bill Simmons recent podcast. But the thing is that i dont see them trading him. They need him. He covers up everyone defensive liabilities. He is their glue guy, pretty much the heart of that team. I think if anyone is gone (besides Durant), its Klay. His shooting can be replaced, while Greens intangibles really cant.

I literally brought this up too the day before Crabbe got traded. We should try to help Nets land Davis in order to try to land Russell in the deal.

THE reason I bring up trading Green is they would be making a trade at his highest value. Also, there cap space is such it will be hard to improve if you have Curry and Klay, if he is brought back - so using Green to maybe take a step back to go forward. It’s a long shot and probably not the right player for the Suns. I do agree with Week - he may not age gracefully as it were.
THat being said - he would be excellent next to Ayton. The defense, rebounding, passing, intelligence on the court.
I understand why you said it. I just don't think they will. Maybe if it's either kd or green type of situation, but outside of that, probably not.

I don't want anything to do with Collison, can't understand why his name keeps getting brought up.
He's 32 when the season starts, way too small and can't defend anyone. There's a reason he is always seen as a stopgap option and even though he's a solid starter, teams always look to upgrade him.
Would prefer Beverley ten-fold over him.
I like Tyler Johnson too but that $19m option scares me. He's only 27 - would he accept a new contract say 4/$30m?

No no no on Draymond Green. Dude would be kicked out of every game playing for the Suns. The only reason he doesn't get double techs in the first quarter of games is because he's on the Warriors. Suns get no leniency as far as refs calling techs goes.
And I personally can't stand him. He annoys me, but there are other reasons that him on the Suns would be a bad idea. Many of which have been brought up already.

Re: 2019 free agency and trade ideas: Chapter 2 A Guardian Forward
If the Pelicans were serious about remaining a "Competent" team, one interesting trade would be this:
Davis to Brooklyn for Dinwiddie/Allen/LeVert/Harris/#27.
Dinwiddie/Jrue/LeVert/Zion/Allen
Thats probably the best group of young players they could acquire. Sure you dont get a Tatum, but those 3 guys are are better than the package of players that keep being thrown about from BOS/LA/NY.
Nets release DLO's rights, and free up the room to sign both Irving and Durant.
Nets build around Irving/????/Prince/Durant/Davis. They get old vets/role players to sign for cheap (As always happens when you have a big 3 team). I could see guys like VC/Rose/Melo/Deng/Ariza/Crawford signing with them for the cheap to have a shot at the Finals.

Hot take I'd rather go after Kevin Love considering I think his game will age better and cost to aquire him. Plus you only have his contact for 4 more years as opposed to green who would need a 4-5 year extension after next season.

I'd take love at his contract 5 years ago. They are seriously going to regret paying him like that probably as soon as next year.
"Mannnnn I’m like the guy that pissed this whole board off saying literally all year no Mikal, no Mikal in the KD trade."

Can the Nets s&t Dlo for an asset to include in the AD trade?

Not if they want a chance at signing both Irving and Durant. They need to renounce DLO in order to get out of his caphold and free up the capspace for those 2.

What if they take back no salary in the s&t trade, only picks for the AD trade

Re: 2019 free agency and trade ideas: Chapter 2 A Guardian Forward
My realistic offseason dream.
1. Three way trade add Dinwiddie and Clarke (#10)
Suns trade: #6 + #32 + Milwaukee 1st
Suns receive: Dinwiddie + #10
Nets trade: Dinwiddie
Nets receive: #17 + #32 + Milwaukee 1st
Hawks trade: #17 + #10
Hawks receive: #6
2. Resign Oubre to 5 yrs 75m with declining %
3. Resign Holmes 2 yrs 5m per
3. Sign Vonleh to MLE
4. Resign Jamal to vet min
5. Trade two future 2nds for Mfiondu in early 2nd rd
PG - Dinwiddie/Tyler/Melton
SG - Book/Bridges/Crawford
SF - Oubre/Warren/Josh
PF - Vonleh/Clarke/Mfiondu
C - Ayton/Holmes/Mfiondu
I think that team wins at least 40 games.
