I prefer ESPN to NFL but have never done one on Yahoo.

Re: OT: NFL fantasy anyone?
Guys I'm currently on vacation, will set everything up after the 15th. I'd rather do it in yahoo if everyone's cool with it. (I don't mind anyone else commishing either)

I typically run 2 QB leagues, especially if they are 8 or 10 teams, and also like IDP, and maybe an extra RB/WR slot (can play either) but I know a lot of people just like standard.
Count again, we're 9

I guess I missed that and was just reading names. We could always do 9 too...one team would just have a bye week one week. It would be better to find one more. I could easily find one or three more. Depending on whether you want 2 QB teams or one QB, a 10 team might work better in the former (with maybe an extra slot for a RB or WR or if a 12 team league maybe just more of a standard roster.

If it's that small a league then 2qb or superflex at least is needed imo. I think we still have time tho, I'd be down to wait till Sept 1st or so to draft. That way we can max out how many ppl decide to join.

Yeah, 10 team leagues are perfect for 2 QBs (or at least in ESPN you can do an "OP" position which allows you to play a QB there and you would most of the time, but if you had byes or injures you could at least plug a RB or WR in instead).
Teams should probably have a limit of 3 though, at least during the draft, and then the limit could expand to 4 after the draft.
The one problem is if people don't show up for a draft, the rankings by default are for 1 QB leagues which will rate QBs lower since you don't need 2, and with QBs being taken more quickly, the managers who don't show up, don't get auto picked QBs until the very end with their last picks, because QBs ranked in the 20s (especially low 20s) typically won't be ranked high enough to get drafted for long time. I've seen this happen multiple times.

I would hope ppl can at least show up for the draft. Is it still up for debate what we're using? Maybe a vote for ESPN/yahoo. I think ESPN is easier but w/e. Also, Kyler are you commishing? Or BW?

The main thing I much prefer about ESPN is the draft. It seems much easier to navigate and look at players. After that it's fairly equal, but still prefer ESPN. I do prefer Yahoo for basketball though.

I can, but if more people want to do yahoo, I'm fine with playing in yahoo if you want to commish.
I wonder if the preference comes down to people using a laptop vs the app. Maybe the yahoo app works better but the espn site is a lot better.

Yes, the yahoo app is way better than ESPN in my opinion. I don't care what we use here, but we use Yahoo in my work league simply because of the appbwgood77 wrote:Kyler Murray wrote:If its espn I'd rather not commish since I find it irritating to use, anyone up for the task?

I vote for ESPN.
From what I saw tying to do a mock draft with Yahoo. ESPN is far easier.

It's pretty even, and I think if I do set it up people should at least try to do the draft on ESPN...and definitely show up for draft. I could also (I think) assign best QBs on board to manager who doesn't shot up by round 12 or something (or after everyone else has at least 2) so one team isn't at a vast disadvantage with a manager giving up early.
Will wait or try to find another player. There is one guy that came to the NFL forum..might even had PHX in his name, asking if we had a spot in that league and we don't...so maybe I ask him instead of one of the other experts who plays in a lot of leagues.
Also, being in Greece, what times of day work for you? Or will you stay up extra late or wake up extra early if needed?

Do we have a set day for the draft? I would suggest the 1st if no one has any issues with that. Also that gives us over 2 wks to find 1-3 more ppl.....

No...we will wait and see. It might have to be the weekend prior since some people are overseas, though in during the week would be better, at maybe 8, 9 or 10 pm ET. Or actuall later, given that Greece is 10 hours ahead of Phx time. So 9 or 10 phx time might be good unless that's too late...or probably even better for him, 12 pm or so Phx time on a Sat or Sun.
