Jordan Ott said it was a "tough" decision to waive Jared Butler.

Talked about Jordan Goodwin bringing a toughness and spoke on the value of a open roster spot.

Jordan Goodwin fits better than Butler because of his defensive mentality and toughness and that's why he got the final roster spot.

It seems that we want an open roster spot to have the possibility to add someone at any moment and that 2x1 trade avaliable.

I really liked what I saw from Jared Butler and I would have signed him for the season but I understand the FO's decision because Butler has been 4 years already in the league and he hasn't make a (good enough) positive impact to consolidate himself as an NBA player yet.

I think he will play in Europe this season.

Asset accumulation malpractice at this early in a rebuild.

Waiving him is very bad decision making unless Goodwin miraculously reaches a superb defensive level. Very bad very bad.

This makes sense why we cut him. He probably asked us to so he could chase guaranteed money in Europe.
