How does Pietrus figure into the Suns? Turkoglu and Richardson are gone, Carter comes, but who gets the minutes at SF/SG?

Orlando will send PHX Carter, Gortat, Pietrus, a 1st round pick and $3 million for Richardson, Hedo and Earl Clark, source tells Y! Sports.

This is a terrific deal guys! Unbelievable! Pietrus is one heck of a player who can bomb 3s and he DEFENDS like hell! Remember that he has always been assigned to Kobe and James, and in my opinion, he has always done a great job making those guys work really hard. So, I disagree with "another wing" statement. He is a warrior that will take care of ugly defensive assignments.

On a separate notes, at the expense of pissing Hedo haters, I will say again how short-sighted all you guys have been with all these. And this trade is a signature statement that you have a very limited understanding of the game of basketball. Or you are biased with some sort of agendas. If Hedo is worthless, then why in the world Magic is still after him despite his alleged demise into darkness!!!

I will have a single malt and a cigar to celebrate if this trade holds true  . Very good news my friends. Just splendid

The Orlando Magic, already in serious trade talks with the Washington Wizards about acquiring Gilbert Arenas, have agreed to a deal in principle with the Phoenix Suns, according to league sources.

The trade returns former Magic star Hedo Turkoglu, along with Jason Richardson and Earl Clark, to Orlando in exchange for Vince Carter, Mickael Pietrus, a 2011 first-round pick and cash considerations

What's not to like? Jrich most likely was not going to be re-upped next year. Only issue IMO, is how Nash will react to this.

I'm not saying Nash had to approve of the deal before it went down, but I would bet that the FO kept him in the loop the entire time and guaged his reaction to the deal as it developed. If he had acted all p!ssed-off when told it might have altered the decision somewhat.

I havent read through this whole thread but it sounds like you guys on the whole are angry.

I look at it this way:

1. We weren't going anywhere this season
2. Jrich wasn't going to be resigned
3. Hedo's contract was going to kill us in the future

Obviously Richardson is better than Carter, Pietrus is ANOTHER wing player which sucks, and gortat's contract isn't great BUT Gortat's contract is significantly smaller than Turks, Carter is an expiring for more than Jrich, and Pietrus isn't bad for a throw in.

Plus a 1st round pick?

I'm glad because I feel like this gives us more flexibility financially, not too mention you never know if more trades are in the works.

Although I'm pretty pissed about losing Clark for nothing

If this is going down im done with the team this year. After what Vince did to my city I can't watch him. I can't believe this team would trade JRich our best player right now whos done so much for them in such a short time, 2 years and its thanks bye. We get a massive downgrade in VC and a backup center. **** GREAT JOB FO.

I love Gortat and Pietrus - both tough, defensive players...

Don't know why but something tells me Nash is next...but where? I can't see NY doing it, same goes with TOR...so maybe he does stay

Hey guys, Carter fan here. What's your situation over there? Is VC likely to get bought out? Although the thought of him playing with Nash is tempting, I don't see the point of him suiting up since he's gone after the season anyways...

Thank you my friend. You are just confirming that Hedo has still value, as this is more than happening right now...And one can PHYSICALLY can only go to "1" team (one cannot play for two teams, right? :D ), it does not matter if 10 teams are in the line, as it can only happen with one team :D .
