If we can't sign a good free agent at the two this summer (Mayo, Gordon...) he wuld be a cheap option since we don't have any talent at this position.

I wouldn't mind us going after Brandon Rush. Every game I saw him play this season, I really felt he would exel in our system. And from what I saw, he wasn't a bad defender.

I agree, Rush is a great player. I wanted to trade Lopez for him right before they traded Amundson for him. Since he's a RFA and seems to be part of GSW's future, I don't see them not matching any offer he receives. You propably have to pay him more then the MLE and that's where he would be overpay for him (same with Courtney Lee, btw.)

Now THERE is a good idea. If we can be astute and go after players that teams might not get into bidding wars for (like OJ Mayo), there is a chance that we could find a player that just may flourish because of our system.

I remember hoping we would draft Brandon Rush. I decided to check to see what is 3pt% is, after reading this, because what we need first and foremost if we continue running our offensive system, is someone who can knock down open 3s. If we let Hill go, move Dudley to the 3 (since he is a MUCH better 3pt shooter than Hill) and get a great shooter to plug in at the 2, it would make us MUCH more potent offensively.

Anyway, check out the results of my query based on top 3pt% among sgs this season. http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/playe ... ing-guards

You may also notice he is one of the only 2's who shoots over 50% overall, which is extremely rare for a guard.

Looking at the #s, he is probably pretty much a younger, cheaper version of Ray Allen who plays better defense.

Sorry, but I think that Rush would be a poor addition for our team. He is almost 27 years old, has played a ton of minutes in this league and never has made more that 10 points per game. He is a role player at best, similar to Gee but with better shot and less athleticism.

Nerlens Noel would be a nice addition for our frontcourt defense.

Raja Bell = Willie Mays on the Mets

I see nothing wrong with adding Barbasoso. This once sleek fast eastwest bound zephyr has slowed to a steam engine crawl. We need speed. Nash needs wings and a big that can flat out run. We /he has been most successful in that situation. The little engine that could has been derailed.

I am not surprised they look, though unvalidated rumor, at a guy like Gee. Fast, athletic, takes it to the rim with one thing in mind. Shoot, we rolled the dice on BlackHole Brown didnt we ? Then he got greenlight content with his J. We need some coast to coasters who attack. We have dudes that run as hard as they can to their perimeter spot.... and wait.

We do not beat people back down the court.... and that is Nash's forte. We have slowed considerably because of Dudley and Hill. Frye too, for he is a far cry from fleet footed Marion or Lou.

There is no rebound pass pass dunk in our offense anymore. How many alley oops did we have last yr ? They used to come at a 2 or 3 per quarter clip... we do not have any 'oop'ers that continually look to oop. Hak fits the bill, but thats about all he has. Our SG was hoping/betting he'd get to an all time high of double digit Dunks... in a season. Sorry Duds. And I think he outdid our SF... :o

Nash needs Athletes.

I'll call them Gee-Guys for now.

Restore SSOL or let Nash go...

That or get D Howard. :eyebrows:
Good post on .net about that.

Funny that people think that the 2012 Raja Bell is the same as 2006 Raja Bell.

Hell, Utah thought they were getting the 2006 Raja when they signed him, but never saw that player. Bell is straight trash now. Not just his offense, but his defense has also taken a huge dip. DO NOT WANT OR NEED!!

I would also pass on Barbosa. We need to move forward, not be taking steps back.

I see what you did there... neat trick.

Frank, even though your comment contains no foul language, the general point is overly demeaning... so its gone, even though it was quite accurate. Is Jackassery really a word?

And Kerrsed, it is against forum rules to modify quotes. You should know that. You do now. Now kiss my

Sorry I started it. I just think we part ways instead of a Sign & Trade and I doubt he goes to a crap team like Toronto. My bet is on Portland, Dallas or Indiana or wherever D-Will doesn't go.

(1) Lilard is drafted for Depth, assuming he is available... make him 6th man and develop him.

(2) Lamb at 11 is optimistic, if he is available then get him... if not get Austin Rivers... make him your SG.

If we come to the realization that nash is moving on, and there is no more putting off the rebuild, Is it reasonable that we go ahead and move gortat for portlands #6(preferably or #11) pick?(they also seem to have #40 and #41 as well.) maybe add a sweetner( IF NEED BE?).

Or IF they say no, then we could perhaps move gortat to cleveland for their multiple picks at #23, 33,34, and keep our #13. pick to get our primary desired player.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=7uubrgd.

Then use their picks to jumpstart the rebuild. Then address the missing peices in free agency. Let's also not forget that houston could use a center like gortat in the worst way(if they're unable to swing a deal for gasol.) And they have 2 picks that are predicted to be around #14 and #16.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=84n67wm. Or we could do this-

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=85axuju.

I would love to do a trade with them the most, in order to get both those first rounders back if at all possible! That would in essence give us picks at #13,#14, And #16.

We good get some really great value out of picks in that range.Or we keep our pick, package their 14 and 16 and move into the top 10 of the lottery hopefully.

What trades would you guys construct in order to get these picks? And what peices would you want included or be willing to take back for getting these picks?

Houston doesn't seem in need of a center anymore. They have Dally backing up Camby. Camby said he would like to re-sign there, so unless he changes his mind, there isn't a need.

Why does a rebuild have to involve Gortat leaving? I don't see any picks that will be offered for him that will produce more than he does, and if they would, why the heck would a team trade that projected player? If picks were such a high priority for this FO, we wouldn't have shipped one out with Goran.

And Ghost, weren't you upset with previous FO moves? Do you really think that they will all of a sudden start trading assets for picks, when in the past they have done the opposite? I really don't.

Now if we had traded our pick with Goran, for Brooks and a future pick, I could see the argument that they do value picks, and just felt that the 2011 class wasn't a strong one.
