Booker isn't being traded unless we are getting an all-star in return.

His value continues to slide as does every player who continues to stay on this team's roster.

His 19 years old rookie. How his value may slide because of his team sucking?

Bookers play will determine his value. Not whether he is on the Suns or not.

Paul Coro wrote:Suns rookie Devin Booker's game grows without fear

If it was not already clear that the NBA stage does not rattle Suns rookie Devin Booker’s cage, he made it apparent last week when he took an outlet pass in transition and went over a leaping defender for a left-handed finish.

“It probably caught LeBron by surprise, like, ‘This young guy is going to take it at me?’" Suns coach Jeff Hornacek said.

Yes, Booker, the 19-year-old, took it to James, the four-time MVP.

Just three years ago, Booker was in the LeBron James Skills Academy. Two years ago, he was starting his last semester of high school. Lately, he was a Suns starting shooting guard for five consecutive games with the fearlessness of, well, a teenager.

Booker, who moved to the bench for Wednesday’s game, carries himself with equal parts confidence and deference. As the NBA’s youngest player, he respects his surroundings and his quick ascension with it.

“I’m a rookie,” Booker said. “You don’t want to force anything. Being a young guy out there taking a lot of shots, it’s not really a good look. I’ve always prided myself on playing the right way and playing with IQ. I feel like some shots they want me to shoot, I can get a better shot for somebody else. But they say they’d rather me take the shot.“

“It sounds good when you say, ‘I’m going to play two games back-to-back,’ “ Booker said. “You have two chances to go out there and play. But once you get out there, you’re like, ‘I have no legs,’ ‘It’s hard to breathe.’ But we’re expected to perform at that potential so we just have to take care of our bodies.”Booker’s playing time ramped up greatly in his five-game starting string, when he averaged 31.2 minutes per game. Booker never started and averaged 21.5 minutes during his only season at Kentucky. He cramped when he first logged big minutes in a Dec. 7 win at Chicago, where he played 33 minutes.

Much like changing his physical therapy, he has changed his shooting repertoire as defenses respect his 3-point shooting more and chase him off spots on the arc. Booker leads all rookies with 50 percent 3-point shooting (25 for 50) after Wednesday's win but is only two for 13 on 3s as a starter.

After playing to a specific sixth-man shooting role at Kentucky, Booker has shown a more well-rounded game with floaters, pull-ups and even post-ups for Phoenix. He said practicing against Karl-Anthony Towns and Willie Cauley-Stein last season made his adjustment to NBA size in the paint easier.

“With the high 3-point percentage I was shooting, they’re running me off the line a lot,” Booker said. “That’s opened up the lane for me. Opened it up for pull-ups or floaters. Get somebody else involved. When they run out at me, I’m looking for a quick swing.”

Booker recorded his first double-double Wednesday, tallying 17 points and a career-high 10 rebounds in 32 reserve minutes. He now is averaging 31.3 minutes over the past six games.

"I'm just trying to do what I have to do to make the team win," Booker said. "We went with the small lineup when we put P.J. (Tucker) at the four (power forward) so I knew I'd have to be more active on the glass and that's what I did."

Suns coach Jeff Hornacek said he has not seen Booker hit a rookie wall yet.

"When you look at some of these guys who were great players in the league, their first couple years, it's some up and down," Hornacek said. "But with Book, he's been mostly up. He'll learn things as time goes on but he's going to have a great career."

Do you want me to continue to complain?!

Yea, why play a guy that draws this much attention? Why run plays for him instead of have him camp out at the 3pt line watching other players fire away? Why have him on the floor to create space and a true semblance of an offense when you have PJ Tucker? Why play him when you have a guy like Ronnie Price on the floor?

Our organization is soooooooo dumb!!

This is why Hornacek is such a terrible coach. He will never find success as a coach at any level because of the pure stupidity he displays in just about every decision he makes related to rotations and the way we play.

his shot was off and i didn't really pay attention defensively but it happens, he got really hot. He hasn't really taken a lot of bad shots and made some really nice passes.

He has very good chemistry on the court with TJ which is exactly what i like to see

Booker is averaging 16 ppg in January and 14.25 since bledsoe went down (8 games). He is getting more comfortable as the season goes on and I can't say enough how impressive he's been. He is the Sol bright spot of the season.

When did I post this? When he was riding the bench playing behind bums. If you are going to comment on an analysis, please comment with-in a qualify-able time period so it will be within context of stated comment. Devin plays 37 mins in Price's absence and has been getting time since our major fall and Bledsoe's injury, then you want to come in here with a crap post like that....get real.

Bad game? He was a -2 and played 37 mins. More like he got tired. He went 1-7 after his run of 11 straight and played the entire 2nd half 8-)

He has to learn how to pace himself. He missed a wide open three late.....that doesn't happen when he is fresh. His shot was short a lot. He had 16pt 6rebs 2 asst 1 st and 2 turnovers.

If he goes 3-7 for three instead of 1-7 and hits the turn around, then he is 9-17 for 24 pts. I feel the same way about Booker as Eddie Johnsons, but that is just me and Eddie.

Booker plays very smart basketball. Only shot I think that was ill-advised was when Tyson slipped the screen on Wade and Booker got blocked. But I think what happened was, Booker wanted to hit Tyson for the oop but saw that Whiteside was pretty close to him so he decided to take the jumper instead. Still though, all of his other shots were quality looks, I think he needs to learn to hit shots with tired legs. Maybe over the summer attach ten pound weights to his ankles so he isolates his arms to shoot only. He also needs to work on his ball handles over the summer, besides that he's good.

Plus it was the youngest guy in the league going against one of the best SG's ever in Dwyane Wade, who had a throwback night himself and was blocking shots and stuff. I think Wade took it a little personally that Booker felt so confident against him. I liked it.

He could hit a rookie wall and his numbers might not be so flash, but he's done enough already to be a 15 year player for us if we want.
